Botley Hill Farmhouse

Botley Hill Farmhouse A 16th century country inn with bedrooms, set in the Surrey Hills at the highest point of the North Downs. Home to weddings.
(1649)

We're looking forward to welcoming you. As well as a fresh, refined look which retains the wonderful period charm of its 16th century origins, our country inn now offers seasonal menus reflecting the provenance of the ingredients, and a hand-picked selection of local ales and fine wines – while there’s nowhere to beat the rolling hills and lush woodland as a backdrop for a sunset supper on the terrace! Above all, we want Botley Hill Farmhouse to become a real hub for our local community, so if you organise a book club, a sewing society or perhaps an NCT group, just give us a call as we’re happy to arrange for you to use an area of the inn at no charge. We hope you'll arrive curious and leave delighted, so please come and enjoy our warm welcome. Nicole and the team at Botley Hill Farmhouse

Meet Aurelia.

Warm limewash walls, moody accents, brass details and playful floral prints.

Each of our bedrooms has its own story, with names connected to the history of the Titsey Estate or our family heritage, tying every stay back to our roots.

Named after a much-loved lady from our Welsh family heritage, Aurelia is remembered for her kindness and strength. Her shop became the heart of her village - a place for conversation, food, flowers and looking after those around her.

Aurelia means “golden one” in Latin, so it felt rather fitting for a room filled with warmth and golden light.

Wow wow wow.

We’re not sure what’s blown our minds more: the eclipse itself, or this many people fitting into our little corner of the Surrey Hills.

Thank you to everyone who came up to watch, celebrate and raise a glass with us!

A huge shoutout to our wonderful team who worked non-stop to keep the drinks, food and good vibes flowing.

A day to remember - see you in 55 years 🌞🌙

Credit to for the gorgeous shot of the eclipse taken through the lens of her sunglasses! Pure magic.

Just an hour’s drive from London, but a world away in every other sense 🔑

Sometimes all you need is a change of scenery and a slower pace. A morning coffee and a good book, time outside, a plate of really good food to come back to, and a drink as the sun goes down.

If a late summer escape sounds tempting, we have some last minute midweek availability.
Your stay includes a delicious Farmhouse breakfast too | Rooms from £160 - link in bio.

Balmy July days like these call for something fresh and seasonal.

Our new starter, avocado and herb purée, topped with English heritage tomatoes, fresh basil and crostini, is just the ticket when it’s this hot.

If you’re more of a pasta-whatever-the-weather kind of person, there’s our new summer beef and porcini ragu, tossed through rigatoni and finished with plenty of Parmesan.

The terrace is looking every bit the sun trap this weekend, with outside tables available on a first come, first served basis. Head up the hill, find a spot and settle in for a long lunch in the sunshine ☀️

A summer weekend at Botley looks a little something like this..

The terrace bathed in sunshine, panoramic views of the Surrey Hills, ice cold drinks and a menu full of lighter summer dishes.

Alongside all the usual favourites, we’re serving Gazpacho, prawn cocktail, Greek salad and a pan-fried sea bass fillet all weekend long*. Fresh, seasonal and exactly what we fancy eating right now.

Join us for a meal al fresco, and if you’d rather not leave, stay for the night in one of our new farmhouse bedrooms.

*subject to availability

It’s the little details that make a stay here feel truly 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡.

Morning coffee overlooking the valley, artwork inspired by the surrounding landscape, golden light pouring through the windows in the evening, a glass of something sparkling before dinner and a cosy bed to sink into when the evening draws to a close.

Our new bedrooms are ready whenever you are.
