RECORD STORE DAY // SATURDAY 7 NOV

The crates are coming back out. From 12:00–20:00, the back room at Ales On The Green becomes a record shop for the day, packed with a fresh drop of new, sealed and pre-loved vinyl.

We’ve been building up the stock, so expect plenty to dig through — old favourites, new discoveries and a few things you probably didn’t know you needed until you saw them sitting in a crate.

Come and rummage.
Come and listen.
Come and find something worth owning.

And if Christmas is already creeping into your thoughts, there might be a few presents in there too. 🎁

Since our refurb, the left-hand wall has remained blank for a little while… but the intention was always to fill it with local art.

So, we put out an open call for local artists to submit their work for an exhibition. We received over 60 entries, which have now been shortlisted to 32 artists and curated into two collections.

We’re delighted to be hosting two exhibitions, back to back:

BLOOM AND ROAM
14 September – 4 October

SIGNAL AND SOLACE
5 October – 25 October

A collection of work by local artists.

It’s a real pleasure for us to support the local art scene and showcase the abundance of talent we have right here in our community.

Most of the work will be available to buy, and you don't need to do anything special to enjoy it — just come to the pub as normal, grab a drink, have a look around and appreciate some bloody good art.

We’ll be sharing more information about the artists and their work from both collections over the coming weeks.

🍻 UP DAS ALES! 🇩🇪 OKTOBERFEST IS BACK! 🇩🇪

Last year set the tone… so expect more of the same this time around! Great guest b**rs, plenty of singing, dancing, and good laughs.

Dust off your Lederhosen (or your best Oktoberfest gear) because we’ll be awarding a prize for the best dressed! 🥨🍺

And in true Ales style, we’ll make sure it’s a bloody good night — with some proper grub to keep those tummies full along the way.

UP THE ARTISTS! 🎨

The submissions window for our upcoming exhibition at Ales On The Green is now officially closed.

A huge thank you to every artist who took the time to submit work. We’ve had a fantastic response, and it’s brilliant to see the range of creativity and talent that’s out there in our local art community.

Ash will work through all the submissions when he is back from holiday, and everyone who has submitted work will receive an email from him w/c 24th August with an update.

What a brilliant day we had at Horne Park Golf Club for the Ales On The Green v Warlingham Sports Club Texas Scramble. ⛳🍻

With 31 players across eight groups, there was plenty of decent golf, friendly rivalry, lots of sun & b**r, and, above all, a cracking atmosphere from start to finish.

A huge thank you to everyone who played and helped make the day such a success.

The four Nett scores from each club were combined:

Warlingham Sports Club – 212.2
Ales On The Green – 218.8

Hearty congratulations to Warlingham Sports Club, taking the honours by 6.6 shots. 👏

We’re packing up the records and heading over to Drop Project Taproom in Mitcham for a full day of vinyl, b**r, pizza and tunes.

We’ll be bringing a proper selection of records from the Ales On The Green record store, so whether you’re hunting for a particular gem, building your collection or just fancy digging through some crates with a b**r in hand, come and have a rummage.
