On Wednesday 17th June we are delighted to host a night of songs and stories of courage and resilience as part of the townwide Recipes Of Courage Festival - run by the wonderful The Refugee Buddy Project: Hastings, Rother & Wealden - in support and celebration of the upcoming Refugee Week

Hosted by Lee-Ryan and featuring these wonderful folks:
Anita Jardine music , Sharon Lisa Rhodes, Toby barelli aka king size slim, Lily Ramona,
UV Bev, Chan Reid, Marlin Moon and Ben Maier

This will take place upstairs at the Jenny with a suggested donation of £5 on the door or whatever you can afford, with all proceeds going to The Refugee Buddy Project and Safe Havens.

Performances start at 8pm, doors at 7.30pm

Hello June ☀️

Today sees the official start of the summer, naturally marked by a sharp fall in temperatures and plenty of rain in the forecast!!

That’s no bad thing if you’re a gardener or a farmer though (or a brewer), enjoyable though the recent hot spell has been.

We’re well stocked for the weeks ahead after a few up and down weeks on sales - there’s no rhyme or reason in it at the moment.

If you normally receive our newsletter but haven’t got it for a couple of weeks, we apologise and have made some changes so hopefully all is now fixed!!

Hopefully a lot more of you will receive this email this week - Mailchimp couldn’t authenticate our domain (whatever that means) so our weekly emails have been disappearing into spam folders for a while.

We have our lower strength NEIPA Can I kick It back this week after a bit of a break, adding to an excellent keg range.

It’s looking like a very pleasant Bank Holiday weekend so stock up for a busy few days.

We are kegging a new batch of our Blood Orange IPA along with Skylarking in the next couple of days and both these beers sell very strongly when the weather warms up.

Last week Chris brewed a brand new New Zealand hopped Hazy Pale for keg which is designed to replace Can I Kick It.

We’ve got a few cask brews to do in the next couple of weeks as we’ve had strong sales of several beers (notably Scarecrow which should hopefully be back next week, and our best bitter Yes, No, Wait, Sorry! which is doing very well indeed).

Dylan remains in Thailand but will hopefully make it back next weekend. It’s a chaotic world.
