Happy World Cider Day!

Most of you will already know we have quite the range of ciders here in the Tap, and today we are adding a brand new one to the collection... Bushey Berry, by The Purbeck Cider Company, is a 4.0% abv expertly balanced sweet cider, with a punchy apple flavour and British berry kick! Vegan friendly and gluten free too ✅

Bushey Berry joins Lilley's Cider Mango, Thistly Cross whiskey cask, and of course Rattler Cyder. Available bottled ciders include various flavours of Saxby's Cider, Lily the Pink, Abrahalls and a low alcohol option, Holly Go Lightly. Cheers to cider fans everywhere!

New on the bar 🤗

HPA from Wye Valley Brewery is a 4.0% abv ale, which is smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Celeia and locally grown Target hops, alongside British grown Maris Otter barley, make this a beer with all the right ingredients! 🍺

HPA is in the Tap now, alongside our seven other Towcester Mill ales 😋🍻

Here we go - into June! We would love to see the beautiful weather continue but sadly it doesn't look that way... But hopefully the sun will shine for the annual Towcester MidSummer Music Festival which kicks off here on Friday 19 June. Congrats to our brewer once again, as Steam Ale picked up another award yesterday, at the Northampton County Beer Festival at Becket's Park! 🏆

Steam Ale won the category 'Best Premium Bitter' at this year's festival 🍺 The competition is run by CAMRA Northamptonshire, where over 40 judges took part in sampling 60 beers from the County’s brewers.

Well done to all the category winners and also to Nene Valley Brewery's Egyptian Cream, which won the overall Champion Beer! 👏

OK, so White Rat didn't last long 😂 so next up as our guest ale for today and the start of the weekend is the award-winning Cwtch from Tiny Rebel Brewing Co. A 4.6% abv red ale, Cwtch boasts six malts melding to form a smooth caramelly note and three bold hops delivering a big citrussy punch. It’s the closest they do to a traditional bitter, but with a special citrus twist 🍺

Check it out when you're next in - but be warned it may not last long!!

It's that time again! 🍺 CAMRA Northamptonshire's Summer Ale Trail supports pubs that serve locally brewed real ale and there are 46 of them participating in this year's county wide trail. Collect stickers and points to get enough to get your prize. You have until the end of August, so what a great way to spend your summer months! 🍻

We do have some trail cards in the Tap Room, plus they can be found in the Summer issue of Northants CAMRA 'Over The Barrel' magazine, and they'll also be available at the Northampton County Beer Festival at Becket's Park this Friday and Saturday. Cheers 😎
