DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS !!
It will delight you to know that the owners of this pub are dishonest, ill-treating, and dishonest thieves. I am an international student with no family in this country who fled a domestically abusive student rental and sought tenancy above this pub.
A deposit was paid, and further money was lent to the owners in April to help with getting the bar up and running and with the promise of an additional £80 compensation for the assistance. I was told that the loan was only for that week… it is now June and I have not been returned more than £80 of this debt.
Furthermore, after weeks of not receiving anything back from the owners, I asked for it to be returned as it was beginning to become a financial issue for myself being without this money for weeks longer than promised. Upon asking for this issue to be solved, I was told that I was “causing too many problems” and that they would be ending my tenancy. They then falsely accused me of foul conduct with other males in the building, providing no evidence and refusing to explain what exactly I was being accused of.
The next morning, the owner told me to disregard their accusations and to “carry on as usual”
After speaking with my university, they advised me to pack up and leave immediately as they feared for my safety in the building.
I moved out in the first week of may, and since then the owners have REFUSED to return a penny of the loan, and are also refusing to return my deposit from the tenancy.
These are the people that you are supporting: people who STEAL and have not one shred of honour.
Maybe this post will apply the pressure to have these debts rectified? Trevor and Chris Boylan are truly disgusting people willing to steal from a young woman, attacking my reputation and character, while making me effectively homeless … all while trying to enter the hospitality industry.
