THURSDAY 24TH DECEMBER / CHRISTMAS EVE MATINEE
A CHRISTMAS CAROL - An Adaptation by VOX Theatre Company
Make VOX Theatre part of your Christmas Eve tradition! Enjoy a little festive magic before heading home to hang the stockings, put out the mince pies and wait for Santa. Join us for laughter, festive fun and a sprinkling of Dickens with this glorious 90-minute adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Perfectly timed to leave plenty of room for all your favourite Christmas Eve traditions!
Charles Dickens is back on tour with a staged reading of his seasonal smash hit, A Christmas Carol. But even the classics have to keep up with the times, don't they? On Christmas Eve, mean old miser Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by four mysterious spirits determined to make him confront his past, present and future. Will he discover the true spirit of Christmas, or remain a humbug forever?
Charles wants nothing more than to read his beloved story, just as he did back in 1858. His agent, however, has other ideas. Surely a little sparkle, spectacle and, dare we say it, showbiz wouldn't hurt?
Expect gags and ghosts, wit and wigs, humour, hats and plenty of humbugs in this joyous, uplifting and wonderfully entertaining retelling of a much-loved Christmas classic.
