In the evening we have our annual Field System Halloween party with DJs, live music and ceremonies to celebrate all hallows eve. Doors 7.00 with a 1am finish.

Coming up this week at Things Happen Here and CLASH…

Are you ready for a dead good week at Things Happen Here and CLASH?!?

This Saturday it’s the return of our family, kids and carers disco The Kids Just Wanna Dance with a Halloween special. Dress up for Halloween and dance the afternoon away! Prizes will be awarded to the scariest dancer and costume!!!! 1.30-3pm.

In the evening it’s the Field System Halloween Party. Field System and special guests return to haunt Things Happen Here in Dartington for the darkest time of the year. Join us for All Hallows’ Eve revels with music from The Meadow Verse and RamEagle, plus a DJ set by Crowmancrow. This gig was a brilliant night last year and we are expecting this to be equally as good! Show times are 7-10pm. Get tickets from the link in our bio.

Over the road in the C***r Press Centre at CLASH today (Thursday) from 6-8pm it’s Portrait Club, a free of charge portrait session art session. Take it turns to sit for 15 minute drawings – you don’t have to be good at art! Bring your own materials and join in with a drink of your choice and on Friday it’s the return of our de facto house DJs DJ Ren and Diamond Lil playing a set of chilled dance tunes from 7pm.

All through the month at CLASH it’s Moktober Fest where we are highlighting an ever changing range of great low and no drinks alongside our beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. Why not come and check out what’s on offer to quench your thirst this week?

We don’t think anyone’s going to be riding into Things Happen Here on a horse for the Field System Halloween Party coming up on all hallows eve Friday October 31st but you never know…

What we do know is there will be The Meadow Verse / Metaverse ritual with 17th-century Devon charms and rites.

RamEagle playing a live set from Radio Aux, bringing psychedelic rock and roll to Planet Earth.

Crowmancrow serving up a devilish set of spooky psych, reggae, goth, folk-punk, and more.

Fancy Dress or Dress Fancy…there will be PRIZES for the best get-ups!

Last years Field System Halloween party was scarily good and we expect another dead good night at THH 🎃💀

We have a lot happening at Things Happen Here and CLASH this weekend...

Today (Friday) at THH join Monsoon and friends for the return of our roots, dub and reggae session, Reggae Happens Here. As always the night is free entry, 8-11. Over the road at CLASH we have this months vinyl night where you can come along and shop for both new and second hand vinyl sound tracked by vinyl DJs. This night is open decks so if you want to play your purchases or bring vinyl along to play then do it from 6pm onwards.

Saturday evening at THH one of the UK’s unsung electronic music pioneers, Ramjac, is playing live at the latest instalment of techno night Weird Dog. Expect great music and visuals from 9pm-1am. Tickets are available from the link in our bio.
To close out the weekend at CLASH it’s our popular monthly quiz. Get quizzical with hosts Tom and Sylvain at CLASH 7-9pm. Entry is £2 per person, max 6 per team.

Poetry in motion…

This Wednesday it’s the first Poetry Unslam hosted by Tom Hirons at CLASH in Dartington.

Poetry doesn’t belong to libraries and universities. it’s folk-medicine word-magic truth-telling and it belongs in bars and forests and at the barricades and the picket-lines.

Come together to breathe some life back into language and celebrate those who do so at the CLASH Poetry Unslam hosted by Tom Hirons (sometimes a wild god, feral angels press, clarion poetry magazine)

The first hour open mic + second hour support + third hour from Tom.
