There are some rolling road closures in place along mumbles road heading towards mumbles until 12:30. Breakfast or earlier lunch bookings may need to allow slightly longer travelling time.

Wow! May! What a month! Beautiful weather and a fantastically organised programme of events from Friends of Clyne Gardens Swansea! Thank you so much to everyone involved from the whole community for your hard work putting on such a varied line up for us all to enjoy throughout the month. Also hats off to the gardening team as a Clyne is looking incredible again this year. If you haven’t had chance to visit yet there’s still plenty of time and we are already looking forward to next May 🥰

Lots going on in the area again this sunny half term weekend:

🏖️ Still no lido but we have our beautiful Swansea Bay with high tide late afternoon

🪻Final weekend of Clyne in Bloom, book on for Boarding and the photography session with Friends of Clyne Gardens Swansea

💃Pennyroyal Dancers from Leicestershire dancing in Clyne Gardens Saturday afternoon around 3pm

🎶 Swansea Bay ladies choir closing the Clyne in bloom festivities on Sunday between 2-4pm

🛝 Lots of parks as well as the woods and gardens to explore

🍻 All good days out end at the pub so book your table and we’ll see you at the bar 🥂

BLACKPILL LIDO 🏖️

For anyone planning their pub visit around a splash in the lido unfortunately it is closed for maintenance. There is still lots going on in the area for this sunny half term with the shady covering and lots to explore in Clyne Woods, The beautiful floral displays and tower to climb in Clyne Gardens as well as the fun of the parks in Clyne Valley and next to the lido. We also have the beautiful expanse that is Swansea bay with the tide coming in this afternoon with high tide around 4pm.

⚠️ Blackpill Lido - update 1.30pm Tuesday May 26

Unfortunately, the lido's flooring has come away in some areas and we're looking into how it happened. We’re aiming to get it fixed as quickly as possible over the coming days and then we'll refill the lido.
In the meantime, we once again apologise for the inconvenience.

Sadly the Lido at Blackpill will be closed for a number of days due to a technical issue.
Sincere apologies for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your understanding.
This morning our team have had to drain the pool.
Once it can be refilled this takes several days.
We will update you once we know when it will reopen.

Pob lwc to everyone competing today! It’s going to be a warm one so keep super hydrated and try your best 🏅

There are some road closures in place for the course closer to town so anyone travelling to us from that direction will need to follow the diversions through Brynmill and might need to allow a little more time for traffic.

Looks like we are in for a scorcher of a bank holiday weekend in Blackpill 😎

We have the penultimate weekend of Clyne in Bloom organised by Friends of Clyne Gardens Swansea with Sunday sessions including:
🏂 Boarding sessions between 9:30-12:30 bookable with BRD Sports
🦅 Bird Watching 10:00-12:00 with Russel Evans from the RSPB
🎶Live music 14:00-16:00 with Plastic Sam’s Stargazer entertaining everyone with West Coast Country Rock

We also have the Shanty Jacs entertaining us on our decked area Monday afternoon from 2pm whilst raising money for the RNLI 🎶🎤⚓️

Derwen Fawr Miniature Railway will be open Sunday and Monday from 10:00-1600 for traditional family fun🚂

The lido, beach and the parks are also great to burn off your children’s energy whilst the prom is great for walking off a good pub lunch or even building up an appetite 🍴

Obviously all great bank holidays involve a trip to your favourite local where we have a great offer on bottles of wine perfect for indulging and relaxing 🍾
