We’ve got a cracking weekend lined up and we can’t wait to welcome some familiar faces back to The Kings Head!

🎸 Saturday | 6pm
Hoolah Groove are back! Expect a brilliant evening of live music, great atmosphere and the perfect excuse to gather your friends and kick off the weekend.

🎤 Sunday | 4pm
Open Mic returns to the patio with our brilliant duo Tim & Ian.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just fancy sitting back and enjoying the incredible local talent, it’s always one of our favourite afternoons of the month. A huge thank you to Tim and Ian for keeping this fantastic community event going.

We’ve only gone and made The Telegraph’s Best Pubs in the UK 2026 list! 🍻🇬🇧

For a little family-run village pub on the beautiful Gower, that’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

To everyone who’s ever popped in for a pint, booked a room, tucked into a Sunday roast, danced on the patio, brought your four-legged friends along, or simply recommended us to someone else… thank you.

This recognition belongs just as much to our amazing staff, loyal locals, caravan owners, holidaymakers and all of our wonderful regulars as it does to us. You’re what makes The Kings Head what it is. 💛

Now… if you’ll excuse us, we’re just going to casually drop “award-worthy pub” into every conversation for the next few weeks… 😏😂

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to many more memories, pints, laughs and sunny afternoons together.

☀️ A little Sunday lunch update… ☀️

After keeping a close eye on the forecast, we’ve made the decision not to serve Sunday lunches this Sunday.

With another heatwave on the way, we feel it’s the right decision for both our kitchen team and our customers. Instead, we’ll be serving our main menu as normal, with plenty of lighter options to enjoy.

This also means that today marks the end of our Sunday roast season, and our famous Sunday lunches will now be taking their annual summer break until September.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a roast over the past few months. Whether you came every week or squeezed in one last Yorkshire pudding before the sunshine arrived, we really appreciate your support. 💛

Now it’s time to embrace summer! Think long lunches, evenings on the patio, cold drinks, live music, beach days and all the best bits of the Gower season. ☀️🌊🎶

We’ll see you in September for the return of the gravy… but for now, let’s enjoy the summer together! 🍻💛
