🍻 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗦 𝗜𝗡… 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗢𝗠! 🍻

It’s officially two weeks today since Tom took over as our new landlord, so we thought it was about time we gave him a proper introduction! 📣

Before taking the reins here, Tom worked as sous chef and kitchen manager at Little Dumpling King, just a five minute walk away from us.

🥟 If you’ve never tried LDK, give them a go! They’re all about Asian influenced small plates and big flavours, with a menu that changes regularly. We're talking dumplings, baos, rice bowls and plenty more besides. Definitely worth supporting another brilliant independent on our doorstep.

Despite spending relentless hours in kitchens over the years, he’s still a very keen cook and most of his hobbies revolve around cooking too. 👨🏻‍🍳

He’s into gardening, foraging and walking, and occasionally dabbles in a few other things including painting Warhammer.

👉 Tom also has his own Instagram page for food pop ups, with a rather fitting name considering his latest venture into pub life: .butcher

Hopefully his new role as a landlord will be a little less dramatic than an episode of EastEnders. 😂

🎶 Music wise, he’s into a bit of everything. Rock, metal, 00s indie, hip-hop (particularly Wu-Tang Clan), Northern Soul… with Sabrina Carpenter making an appearance as the guilty pleasure.

🍺 And what does Tom like to drink? It varies! He’s loving the Guinness at the minute, is a huge fan of cask and real ale, and is partial to the occasional lager too. He’s currently enjoying the Löwenbräu we’ve just had on the bar.

👋 If you haven’t met him yet, come in and introduce yourself. Tom’s a super friendly, sociable chap who’ll always make time for a chat.
