Hello all, we would like to introduce ourselves and give you an update. The Red Lion will be opening hopefully on Wednesday 25th March at 5pm. We will need a bit of luck but we are doing all we can to be ready for then. We will update if unfortunately we cannot meet our deadline. The pub is going to be run by Nicki and myself, Craig and we aim to bring to you a traditional pub at the centre of the community. Apologies for the confusion regarding the hours, we will update them as soon as Google lets us. We hope to see you soon.

As many of you are already aware, we have had to make the extremely difficult to decision to close the pub after 1st January 2026.

The industry is a tough one and with the continued pressures / challenges that the government are applying to UK businesses, it is no longer economically viable with our current business model.

We know that the pub is very much the heart of the community, with many relying on it for social interaction. But we were left with little choice.

We are actively marketing the pub for lease so that it can be reopened in the future. If you are interested in potentially renting the pub, please contact [email protected]
