You saw it going under the needle yesterday - here’s where we landed. 🖤

A black denim jacket transformed with rich metallic embroidery, deep green florals, jewel-toned moths and a striking crimson heart at the centre.

An eye sits within the heart, surrounded by intricate gold detailing, while bursts of gold metallic thread bring movement and light to the design. There’s something beautifully unconventional about this one… part tattoo art, part dark romance, with a palette made for the colder months.

POV: The samples for your next live embroidery event have just arrived…

Before the embroidery machine is even switched on… there’s this part 👀📦

A little behind-the-scenes look at us opening our Accessorize parcel before the event and figuring out what we could (and couldn’t!) embroider.

This is the really early stage - completely unfiltered first reactions, feeling the fabrics, looking at how each piece could be worn or used, and even thinking about who someone might buy it for. All of that helps us work out where personalisation would actually look best.

From here, it gets a lot more technical… sampling, testing, digitising and figuring out exactly how each product will behave under the needle.

But this is where the ideas start 💭🧵

There’s a lot more to it than just sitting behind the machine.

From arriving early and getting everything set up, welcoming customers and helping them choose their designs, to actually stitching each piece, packing everything up and heading home at the end of the day.

The best part is always seeing people’s reactions when they get to see their purchase personalised right in front of them.

Something they’ve just picked up in store becomes theirs - whether it’s a little initial, a name, a motif or something completely personal to them.

It’s such a lovely thing to be part of, and I think that’s what makes live embroidery so special. It turns a shopping trip into an experience, and you get to be there for all those little moments. 🤍
