A quick update following Monday 💛💙
Firstly, a huge thank you to all 1,316 supporters who came through the gates on Monday.
We’ve seen your feedback regarding the queues and wanted to provide some context. Our previous home crowd was just over 500, so Saturday’s attendance was a fantastic but unexpected increase. At our level, predicting attendances isn’t an exact science, and unfortunately the additional demand resulted in longer waits than we’d like.
We know 20–25 minute queues aren’t acceptable, particularly if supporters are missing football, and we’re looking at ways to improve service for busier games.
🍺 The Bar
Moving from cans to draught was a commercial decision to improve the return from our bar, with that additional income going back into the football club.
We’ve also introduced reusable pint glasses. The deposit encourages glasses to be returned so they can be washed and reused, reducing waste and preventing the club having to continually replace them. The sponsorship on the glasses provides another valuable source of commercial income while giving our sponsors additional exposure.
🍔 Food
The changes to our food offering were made following feedback from supporters about what you wanted to see on matchdays. We’ll continue listening and adapting as we see what works best.
We won’t always get everything right first time, but we will listen and improve.
Having 1,300+ supporters to look after is ultimately a fantastic problem for Stockton Town to have – and we’ll keep working to make the matchday experience better as our crowds grow.
Thank you for your continued support. 💛💙
