STOCKPORT BLUES NIGHT VOL ll Thurs 26th June 7pm
ROSS HARDING - a South African-born, UK-based Dark Blues artist.
Recently called the 'Preacher of Dark Blues; in a multi-page spread in Blues In Britain magazine, Ross Harding was one of the standout performers at last year's Blues Festival.
Known for his powerful voice, raw emotion, and masterful guitar work, Ross blends the grit of rock with the soul of the blues. He channels the ghosts of the Delta through a modern, darkly cinematic sound.
Described as possessing “a remarkable dark and moving depth — cracked, soulful and incredibly emotive”, Ross has been featured in Blues Rock Review, Kerrang!, and other international publications.
Having performed at major festivals such as The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, and Stockport Blues & Roots Festival with great feedback, we are proud to welcome Ross back to Stockport!
JOHN W DOYLE John W Doyle Music - local Stockport Blues Festival Favourite
A favourite and regular on the main headline stage at the Stockport Blues and Roots festival for many years, John W Doyle bringas his fantastic solo acoustic show to Stockport Blues Night!
Regular festival attendeeas will remember John's fantastic vocals and exeption guitar playing in a country/blues style.
But if you've never seen his acoustic show, you're missing out! Make sure you attend this blues night!
BECKI - local multi-instrumentalist & Performer
Another great performer from last year's festival, Becki wowed the crowd in the theatre bar with her solo looping show, incorporating vocals, keyboard, guitar, and even a small gospel choir trio!
We are lookimg forward to seeing what Becki brings to the event this time!
ANDY PRESTON Andy Preston - local Blues/Rock Originals Artist
Andy combines a Professional Speaking career with his love of Blues Rock! Mentored by (& UK Tour Manager for) South African Blues Legend Dan Patlansky, Andy has performed at the Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar in Nashville, at the Memphis Blues Society off Beale Street in Memphis, Austin, Las Vegas, and many venues across the UK and South Africa.
As well as being the 'guitar' part of the Stockportugal Blues Experience, with his songwrtiting partner Bruno Rocha. Andy will open the evening with some of his originals.
All in all, a fantastic night of Blues - some come and support the artists, and have a great evening with us!
