☢️ Turns out the apocalypse isn’t all bad… ☢️

Sure, civilisation has collapsed, the old world is gone and humanity is desperately trying to rebuild itself…

But at least there are some bloody good board games about it. 😂

This week we’re putting the spotlight on Rebirth — a beautifully clever game about humanity rebuilding after the fall of civilisation, as players compete to restore communities and bring the world back to life.

And it’s not alone. Alongside it on the shelves are Revive and Recall — three very different takes on a world after the apocalypse, all with that same deliciously bleak premise:

🌍 Humanity is struggling to survive.
🏗️ Civilisation needs rebuilding.
🎲 And somehow, you’re still finding time for a board game.

Honestly, maybe the apocalypse isn't that bad after all. 😉

Our Home Ed Social is specifically for home-educated families, and we’re back tomorrow, Wednesday, from 11am–2pm at The Dice Box! 🎲

Looking for a way to get the kids away from screens and into something genuinely social?

Our lounge is a screen-free zone, giving home-ed families the chance to meet other families, chat, make connections and enjoy some quality time together while the kids explore our huge library of tabletop games. 🧩

And tabletop gaming brings plenty of benefits along the way — problem-solving, communication, cooperation, reading, numeracy, strategic thinking and, perhaps most importantly, learning how to play, compete and have fun together. ❤️

Tomorrow at 11am, we throw open the doors to another week at The Dice Box — and there’s plenty coming your way! 👀

🐉 TUESDAY brings a special extended Kids D&D session, before we roll straight into our RPG Night in the evening. A full day of adventure!

🏠 WEDNESDAY is absolutely packed! Home Ed Social takes over the morning, followed by Social Gaming in the evening. Two very different kinds of chaos… both excellent. 😈

🩸 And then FRIDAY… UMBY IS BACK!

What a way to round off an absolutely fantastic week at The Dice Box! ❤️

Saturday AND Sunday were both completely packed, with every table full and the lounge buzzing from start to finish. Even better, we had loads of new faces joining us alongside the brilliant regulars who keep coming back week after week. 🥰

There really is nothing better than seeing the lounge full of people playing games, discovering something new, enjoying some great food and drink, and generally having a bloody good time! 🎲🍕🍹

And now? We’re already looking forward to next week… because it’s shaping up to be even bigger and even better, with a whole host of fantastic events and plenty going on throughout the week.

With 800+ games to choose from, Lego to build, great food, drinks and plenty of time to switch off and play, Sunday is the perfect excuse to spend a few hours doing something a little different.

Whether you’re bringing the family, meeting friends or looking for a relaxed way to finish the weekend, we’ve got you covered.
