👨🍳 WE’RE HIRING – CHEF / COOK WANTED! 🍳
📍 Hatters Bar | Heaton Moor, Stockport
💷 Starting pay: £14 per hour
📅 Thursday – Sunday
We’re looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Chef / Cook to take charge of our kitchen and help us take our food offering to the next level!
We’re not just looking for someone to follow recipes. We want someone who can take ownership of the kitchen, develop our menu and bring exciting new ideas to the table.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
👨🍳 Experience essential – confident preparing and delivering consistently high-quality food.
💡 Creativity & fresh ideas – someone keen to develop our existing menu, introduce new dishes and help shape our food offering.
🍔 Kitchen management – take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, cleanliness and maintaining high standards.
📦 Stock control & ordering – manage kitchen stock levels, organise and order food deliveries, check incoming goods and minimise food waste.
📋 Allergen management – maintain and regularly update our allergen information, ingredient records and allergen matrices whenever recipes, ingredients or suppliers change.
🧼 Food safety & compliance – must hold Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 2 Allergen Awareness training. Confident maintaining food safety records, temperature checks, cleaning schedules and kitchen hygiene standards.
🔥 Calm under pressure – able to work independently, stay organised and maintain consistency during busy service periods.
🔪 Organised & adaptable – our kitchen is small but well-equipped, so making the most of the available space is essential.
🤝 Team player – positive, enthusiastic and able to work closely with our bar team.

We’re also open to exploring earlier opening hours for breakfast and brunch, if it’s something our new chef and bar team would like to develop together.
