Another stella performance by Cronies FC!
FULL-TIME | Cronies FC 5-3 Meppershall FC🟠🔵
A proper pre-season battle yesterday as the boys came out on top in an entertaining 5-3 win against a very good Meppershall side.
We fell behind early after conceding a penalty, but responded well with Marcus converting from the spot at the other end to make it 1-1. Jontae then produced a brilliant half-volley to put us 2-1 ahead before another penalty for Meppershall brought the game level again at 2-2.
We regained the lead from the spot to make it 3-2, but Meppershall kept pushing and found another equaliser to make it 3-3.From there, the boys finished strongly. Marcus completed his hat-trick before Jontae added his second of the game to seal the 5-3 victory.
A special mention to Robbie, who made a really positive impact coming off the bench in the second half and helped us finish the game strongly.
Credit to the opposition, who played very well and gave us a tough test throughout. Another valuable pre-season fixture with plenty to take from it as we continued to build towards the new campaign.
