Martin’s House offers first class care for residents over 65.

Each one of our residents enjoys unique, personalised care, built around them and designed to make their stay with us as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible.

Jean, Mel and Linda from Martins House had a lovely day out at Timebridge Community Centre! They enjoyed a hearty lunch of stew followed by apple pie, before sitting back to enjoy a performance from some talented local singers including Adam Issacs🎤💜

There was also time for a spot of Bingo, with everyone getting involved and hoping to win a prize in the raffle. After a lovely afternoon out, it was back to Martin's House for supper and a well-earned rest.

A big thank you to all the staff and helpers at Timebridge Community Centre for making our lovely residents feel so welcome. We always appreciate these lovely opportunities to spend time with our local community 😊

We’ve had quite a day at Martins House! 🎩🪄 Fred the Magician joined us with some amazing tricks and hilarious ventriloquism, keeping our lovely residents guessing and giggling throughout the show.

There was also a lovely singalong, with everyone waving their Union Jack flags, and a special visit from Charlie the dog, who was certainly a welcome addition to the fun! 🐶🎶

A big thank you to Fred for entertaining us so wonderfully. We’re still wondering how he managed some of those magic tricks! 💜

A lovely morning walk to the local shops for Chris, Joyce and Mel at Martins House! 🌞🧣

Wrapped up warm against the crisp air, the trio enjoyed a stroll together before popping into the Co-op. Mel took the opportunity to stock up on his favourite Cadbury chocolate, ready to enjoy back at the home! 🍫

Getting out for a walk and choosing their own shopping are simple but important parts of everyday life. They help our residents stay active, maintain their independence and enjoy being part of the local community 💜

Our lovely residents at Martins House enjoyed a lovely baking session, getting stuck into mixing, measuring and rolling the dough to make some delicious cheese scones 🧀

We can’t think of much better than enjoying something homemade with a nice cup of tea, and we’re looking forward to tasting the finished results! 💜☕

Angie brought the music to Martins House, and our lovely residents were more than happy to join in! 🎶💜

From singing along and dancing to playing instruments and waving colourful scarves, there was plenty to get involved in. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the music and having a good old singalong together.

This week has been filled with creativity and fun for our wonderful residents at Martins House! 🎨 They've been busy immersing themselves in a world of colour as they engage in various art projects. From vibrant colouring pages to intricate designs, the artistic spirit is alive and well!

In addition to their artistic pursuits, many have also been tackling jigsaws, piecing together beautiful scenes that spark joy and nostalgia. 🧩 It's wonderful to see everyone coming together, collaborating, and sharing stories as they work on these puzzles.

Not to be left out, wordsearches have been a hit too! 📝 Residents have been sharpening their minds while searching for hidden words, all while enjoying friendly competition.

We love seeing our community so engaged and having a great time! Keep up the fantastic work, everyone! 💪✨

Our wonderful residents at Martins House have been getting creative with a lovely flower arranging session recently! 🌸 Everyone had a go at arranging artificial flowers in foam, choosing their own colours and putting together some beautiful displays 💜

Meanwhile, Brian has been busy out in the garden, planting winter bulbs and giving the rose bushes a good trim to help them flourish again in spring. It’s lovely to see everyone enjoying their own little projects, whether indoors or out in the garden 🌷

A big welcome to Melvin, our newest resident at Martins House! 💜

Melvin recently enjoyed a stroll to the local Oval Shopping Centre, having a good look around the shops. One place caught his eye in particular, a fish and chip shop he’s already looking forward to visiting when it opens! 🐟🍟

Originally from Notting Hill in London, Melvin has now settled in Stevenage, and it’s extra special to have his sister here at Martins House too. We’re so pleased to have them both with us and look forward to making lots of lovely memories together. Welcome to the family, Melvin! 😊

🐾✨ We had a wonderful visit from Performing Pets who brought along the most adorable little piglets! 🐷❤️

These charming animals added an extra dose of fun and excitement to the day, with residents thoroughly enjoying watching them perform and interact. It was a truly heartwarming experience, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to everyone involved.

A big thank you to Performing Pets for such a memorable visit – we loved having you with us! 📸🐕🐖
