If you're thinking of volunteering at Standish Christmas Market this year but don't know what to expect, come along to our volunteer meeting. You can have a natter with the team, and find out how we put on a cracking Christmas Market. You don't need any experience, just a friendly face and a bit of festive spirit and you could be our Christmas miracle!

Fancy being part of the team that makes Christmas happen? We’re looking for volunteers to help out at this year's Standish Christmas Market!

No special skills required. If you can smile, point people in roughly the right direction and resist eating all the mince pies, you're good to go!

Whether you can spare an hour or a whole day, we’d love to have you on board. You’ll meet some lovely people, get that warm fuzzy feeling of doing something good, and make a massive difference for Standish's favourite annual event.

Go on, give us a hand. Christmas doesn’t organise itself, you know. 😉🎅

🎄 Calling all festive legends!🎄
Standish Christmas Market is desperately in need of volunteers to keep the magic moving.
There's indoor and outdoor roles for those willing to help and in return you'll receive festive vibes, plenty of laughs, a glowing sense of community and free hot drinks and biscuits at the library.

Wether you can spare a couple of hours or a full day, we'd love to hear from you! 🎅 🤶

🎄 VOLUNTEERS WANTED! 🎄

Fancy joining the Standish Christmas Market team? We need a few willing souls to help with the festive fun.

No special skills required, just a few hours of your time over the Christmas Market weekend. If you can carry things, point people in roughly the right direction, smile convincingly and survive on tea, you’re already overqualified.

Come and join us. There’ll be Christmas cheer, questionable amounts of caffeine and, quite possibly, free biscuits. 🎅

Our applications window may have closed, but The Black Bull Standish is opening their b**r garden up for stalls again at this year's Standish Christmas Market. If you're a stall owner and would like a space, get in touch with them now!

Do you run a business and want some great publicity while supporting a hugely popular community event?
Standish Christmas Market is looking for commercial sponsors who want to help give our community a fantastic celebration on Saturday, December 5th, to kick off the festive season.
We receive no funding from the local authority and the cost of the day has tripled since we launched it in 2016, due to inflation but also because we aim to make the Market better each year – especially this year, our 10th anniversary.
Last year’s Market was another huge success and continues to be the biggest one-day event in north Wigan, raising thousands of pounds for many good causes and being a festive celebration for more than 5,000 people on the day.
If your business sponsors the Market, you’ll not only be helping to bring our community together at Christmas, but your company will also benefit from extensive local marketing through both printed and digital publicity.

We know... it’s absolutely baking outside and the absolute last thing on your mind is tinsel, mince pies, and Mariah Carey on repeat.

But preparation is key. So while you’re currently focusing on surviving the heatwave and frantically searching for a working fan, the festive season is sneaking up on us.

Applications for Standish Christmas Market are closing on Sunday 28th! So get your festive planning sorted so you can go back to enjoying the b**r garden.

Only two weeks left to join the festive fun, so if you’re a trader dreaming of twinkly lights, cheerful crowds and the sweet, sweet smell of mulled w**e, now is the time.
