What a night at the Royal Oak!

Last night’s The R**t Beautiful South tribute was absolutely fantastic. The pub was packed, the atmosphere was brilliant, and it was so lovely seeing everyone singing along, dancing and having a great time.

Rushbearing may have been bringing plenty of people into Sowerby Bridge, but we were proud to create our own little bit of entertainment at the Royal Oak — and judging by the smiles, singing and dancing, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported us. Nights like last night remind us exactly why we love what we do.

Here’s to many more brilliant nights at the Royal Oak!

SUFFER FROM GEPHYROPHOBIA?

Apparently, that’s the fear of crossing bridges…

And here at the Royal Oak Inn, Sowerby Bridge, we’ve suddenly realised we may have a serious problem!

Because to get to us, you have to cross County Bridge.

But don’t worry… we’ve been researching a cure.

Step 1: Take a deep breath.
Step 2: Look straight ahead.
Step 3: Cross the bridge.
Step 4: Walk through the doors of the Royal Oak.
Step 5: Order a drink.
Step 6: Repeat Step 5 until you’ve completely forgotten you were scared of the bridge!

And let’s be honest… every pub in Sowerby Bridge has a bridge somewhere between you and your next pint, so you’re not alone!

We’re not doctors… but we’re pretty confident this treatment works.

County Bridge isn’t going to cross itself… see you on the other side!
