“The Stag's Head is certainly an atmospheric old pub, and I can see why people might be curious about whether it's haunted!”

1897: The present Stag's Head building was constructed.

Grade II listed: It was officially recognised for its architectural and historic importance in 2010.

Original features: It retains Victorian decorative glass, ornate ceilings, fireplaces and historic bar fittings.

Two floors: It has an unusual arrangement, with bars on both the ground floor and first floor.

An older pub history: There was an earlier tavern on the site, known as the Albion Tavern, dating back to 1839.

It’s no surprise then, with all that history that many spooky things have been reported over the years.
Ghostly figures appearing upstairs.
Strange footsteps when the pub is empty.
Apparitions in the cellar.
Objects moving or unexplained voices.
