🍂🎃 HELLO NOVEMBER! 🐻💚

As spooky season comes to an end, we’re looking forward to a month full of community activities and cosy evenings at The Bear Inn!

A special mention to the wonderful knitted post box toppers appearing around South Cave and changing with the seasons. It’s lovely to see these little touches bringing character to our village. 🧶❤️

Tomorrow we’re kicking things off with two lovely community activities:

☕ COMMUNITY WARM HUB | 2PM–6PM

The heating is on and the kettle is ready! Join us for complimentary tea and coffee, a warm space and some friendly company. Everyone welcome.

📚 THE BEAR CHAPTER | FROM 7PM

Our first book club! Bring your current read and, if you have one, a spare book you’d like to swap. We’ll share recommendations, chat about new releases and discover our next reads together.

Two lovely opportunities to bring people together this November.

🌸✨ A HUGE THANK YOU! ✨🌸

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for our lovely craft activity with Sow blooming cute Cute! 💐

It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces, especially local people coming together, getting creative and trying something a little different.

Whether it’s something you’ve done a hundred times before or something you’ve picked up for the very first time, that’s what community is all about! ❤️

At The Bear, we want to create more than just a pub. We want to create a community hub for everyone – a place to meet new people, learn new skills, try new things, make friends and feel part of something.

🎄✨ A LITTLE CHRISTMAS UPDATE! ✨🎄

We’ve had a little think and thought… why not bring two great events to our community in one evening?! ❤️

Our Christmas Craft Fair, originally planned for Saturday 5th December, will now take place on Friday 27th November, from 2pm–6pm, to coincide with the South Cave Christmas Light Switch-On! 🎅🏼💡

We thought this would be a lovely way to bring everyone together for an extra-special festive evening, supporting local businesses and enjoying all the Christmas magic in one place. 🎁🎄

☕ We’ll also be hosting a hot drinks station, serving warming takeaway drinks to keep everyone cosy while enjoying the festivities!

🐻❤️ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY AND NIGHT AT THE BEAR INN! ❤️🎯

A huge thank you to everyone who made our charity event in support of Prostate Cancer UK such a fantastic success!

🎯 Paul absolutely smashed it, throwing over 2,000 darts in 12 hours! What an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of his determination and dedication to such an important cause.

🎤 A massive thank you to Bella for her beautiful singing to end the evening and help make it so special.

🎟️ Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, bought tickets, donated money and came along throughout the day and evening to show their support. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference, and it was amazing to see our community come together for such a worthy cause. ❤️

💙 Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK during their lifetime. Raising awareness, encouraging conversations and supporting vital research is so important. No man should have to face cancer alone.

From all of us at The Bear Inn, thank you for your generosity, kindness and support. We’re so proud of Paul, Bella and everyone who helped make this event one to remember! 🐻❤️

With nearly 4 hours left and an incredible 8 hours already completed, Paul is doing absolutely amazing! 🙌

The evening’s not over yet, though! 🎶 From 9:15pm, we’ll have his daughter Bella singing live, followed by a raffle with some fantastic prizes up for grabs! 🎤🎟️

🎯💙 PAUL’S THROWING FOR A CAUSE – 12 HOURS OF DARTS!

On Friday 23rd October, Paul Neve will be taking on a 12-hour darts challenge, throwing from 9am until 9pm at The Bear Inn, South Cave, all to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

We’re inviting everyone to come along, get involved and show Paul some support throughout the day. Whether you fancy having a throw yourself, cheering him on or simply popping in to donate, every bit of support will help raise money for this important cause. 💙
