Special thanks to Mattie for running the competition again — with a whopping £1,500 raised for the ABF!

A fab day, despite the thunderstorm deciding to make an appearance halfway through the raffle 🌩️

🚨Sorry Long Post Alert 🚨

As we head in to Summer holiday season, we all know that pubs are the grown up’s version of a playground - but we are a pub, not an actual playground. We are very family focused and love having everyone here & watching the little ones grow. ❤️

We have some simple house rules - pointed out in the picture below - we’d really appreciate it if children could be supervised at all times, so everyone can relax and enjoy their visit. Whether you are visiting us for a family lunch, a catch-up with friends, or just a well-earned pint to get out of the house.

This isn’t aimed at anyone in particular—just a friendly reminder to help keep the pub a happy, safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

We really appreciate your understanding and support… now, who’s ready for sunshine, cold drinks, memories and some of Jen’s marvellous BBQ’s? ☀️

Last week we had the honour of welcoming Suzanne, a volunteer for Empty Chairs.

If you haven’t seen it, it is a wonderful community-led campaign to tackle loneliness.

Everyone’s welcome, if you want to pop in for 5 minutes or two hours, Suzanne will have a table in the pub with empty chairs (hopefully not for long) for you to pop along and say hello.

While Suzanne is here on Tuesday 21st from 7pm, we offer a safe and welcoming space for anyone at all times. Our staff (and most of the regulars) are always happy for a chat if you pop in and sit at the bar ❤️
