If you've previously come from down South to our wonderful beer festival, you will have noticed that there is no direct train, meaning a change in Birmingham, Wolverhampton or Crewe. Please sign this petition to ask the rail authorities to help make Shropshire more accessible to tourism

We're working away behind the scenes to bring you our 2026 Festival. If you would like to join in with the organising committee please message this page. We can always do with more help - many hands make light work! There are lots of tasks to suit any skill set and you will be made very welcome. We meet once a month to share progress (in our PoTY, The Prince of Wales, Shrewsbury) for a couple of hours of a Tuesday evening.

We will also need a rather larger group of people to operate the Festival from 18 to 28 September. If you would like to join in with that (again, there are lots of different jobs to suit all talents), please fill in the staffing form and return it by email of as a message to this page. You can get it in pdf format through this link: https://app.box.com/s/s0w2eu98bvlsu6jdpkjov7j0ornpqrbi

We've picked the dates, we've sorted the venue, we've got the licence! All we need now is you*, so get the dates in your diary

As in previous years, we'll be seeking out new beers and breweries for you to try in our wonderful and fully accessible venue of St Mary's Church in Shrewsbury Town Centre. There will be cider, and f you're coming in a group with non-beer and cider drinkers there will be wine and spirits.

It would be great if you could give this post (or the linked event) a share to your contacts so they can note the dates, too. Please message the page with any questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

You can get a feel for the event from the 2025 details at https://saws.camra.org.uk/shrewsbury-beer-festival/ which will also host the beer list in due course, and some longer-form details of the event.

*and final approval of our detailed budget by CAMRA Central Office, but since we made a surplus last year we expect that to be a formality
