All works are available to purchase (£35 each).

The newest member of our team, Olivia, is having her hair cut and donating it to a charity which makes wigs for children.

If you'd like to support her, you can do so via the link below or pop some coins in a charity collection box in the pub.

Cheers

Trying to do something for a worthy cause each year now. This year I’ve decided to donate my hair to… Olivia Whymark needs your support for Donating my hair!

After more than four and a half years of working behind the bar at the Old Star, Nigel will be pulling his last pints and mixing his final cocktails (!) this Tuesday, the 26th.

It won't be goodbye though as he's assured us he'll still be popping regularly in as a customer, but we'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks to him for all his hard work and for making such an excellent contribution to the life of the pub.

If you'd like to pop in on his final shift, we are open from 2:30 - 9pm. Hope to see you there.

We've just found a pin of this which has been hiding in our cellar since winter.

It's well within its best before date (mid June), but as it isn't very seasonal, we're selling it at £4 a pint.

Further discounts for those wearing Christmas jumpers.

Thank you to all who took part in our sausage roll competition last Sunday, whether as an entrant, a judge or an onlooker.

It was a great day, although I think most of us couldn't face another sausage roll for a good while yet.

Congratulations to our winners, with Maggie and Clare taking 3rd and 2nd places and James scooping top place and winning this awful but glorious trophy.
