Wednesday 4th November, THE POOZIES. Instrumental! Vocal! Sensational!

The Poozies have been mistresses of cosmic shape-shifting for a miraculous 35 years. Pioneers from the beginning, with a healthy dose of sass and irreverence, they paved the way for sparkly women folkies in a beardy men's world. Ever evolving, in 2023 the band brought in the shimmeringly joyful guitar powerhouse Michael Bryan and rhythm maestro Donald Hay on drums/percussion.

This year has seen them further embrace their unique brand of trad-punk with defiantly idiosyncratic new music, all bursting with energy, seduction, rascality and invention.

From her years in the Everybodyfields, to her critically acclaimed solo career, to her latest collaboration The Hush Kids, which she co founded with songwriter and producer Peter Groenwald, Nashville's JILL ANDREWS has delivered irresistibly melodic, genre bending music for nearly two decades. It's bold, infectious and introspective, music that's served as the backdrop to some of America's most beloved TV series including Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, Nashville and Wynnona Earp to which she composed the theme. Most recently her cover with Aron Wright of We Built This City by Starship was used on Hulu's Paradise. Gaz Brookfield makes a welcome return to our back room on Thursday!

Folk/Punk festival favourite, Brookfield has been at this for a while now. Since winning Acoustic Magazine Singer/Songwriter of the year way back in 2010 he has continued to tirelessly tour the length and breadth of the country, building a strong and loyal following where he goes.

His last album, Morning Walking Club, saw Gaz achieve his first top 40 record, and it even got number 1 in the UK Official Folk Charts. Not a bad result for this fiercely independent musician, with no record label, no manager, and no agent – just a guitar, a van, and a steadfastly belligerent refusal to give in.

Wednesday 28th October sees the return of the amazing, Bristish, singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist Emma Stevens and her band to Greystones.

Emma's journey has taken her from her home in Guildford to Nashville where she immersed herself in the culture of country song writing, collaborating and honing her craft. Yet she's remained firmly rooted to her UK fanbase, her live shows offering a mix of heartfelt ballads and uplifting anthems that resonate with audiences across the country. For fans of UK country music Emma represents the best of both worlds: a homegrown artist with international flair whose biggest hit, Riptide, continues to shine as a touchstone for her career and a reminder of the growing strength of the UK country movement.

After being play listed 4 times on BBC Radio 2, an itunes single of the week and over 40 synchs on tv in the UK, Emma's profile exploded in China after her track, A Place Called You, being featured on a prime time tv show watched by over 75 million viewers (the track has amassed over 700 million streams). Her song Keep Dreaming, turned into a viral sensation on TikTok and Instagram with over 1 million uses. She's supported The Feeling, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Wet Wet Wet, Take That, Train, Eagle Eye Cherry, Passenger and Simply Red and had her music streamed millions of times on YouTube and Spotify.

First appearing here in 2017 we're pleased to say she's been a regular at Greystones ever since and we're very excited to have her back.

Opening the show will be American singer, songwriter RACHAEL SAGE well known for her theatrical folk/pop style, dynamic piano performances and philanthropic work. A multi music award winning artist she's released over 15 albums and toured globally with artists such as Judy Collins and Ani DiFranco.
