From Neil Cardwell
Those of you who came to The White Hart last night will already be aware of what, for the most part, a very special night it was. Twenty people creating a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic music. Unfortunately, it will be the last such night I host in that particular establishment whilst it is under the present management. Over the last few weeks several people have complained to me regarding the situation whereby the pub’s dog has been urinating inside the pub. Worse still this has been happening where people attending the sessions were sat. I find this behaviour to be totally unacceptable, particularly when it culminated in someone’s coat being urinated on after it had been put across the back of a chair. I felt compelled to complain about this behaviour to the manager of the pub before arriving at the pub last night. When I arrived at the pub I was subjected to unacceptable hostility from the manager’s wife because I attempted to prevent the dog from coming through from the tap room into the lounge. Later in the evening, after the manager had apologised to everyone for the dog’s behaviour, I was subjected to further hostility, this time from the manager himself. This was because the dog had come through into the lounge, jumped onto the seating next to customers and I had tried to assist by guiding the dog back to its owner. Apparently for me to do so was unacceptable. Later in the evening I was told that the seating, where one person in particular was sat, on the opposite side of the room to where I was sat, was damp. As the evening progressed this dampness became decidedly wet and was evidently caused by the seat having been previously urinated on. This was the final straw that broke the camel’s back. I therefore told the manager at the end of the evening that I would not be coming back to the pub. To add insult to injury, the manager, who was in my opinion somewhat inebriated, then told me that I had been identified as a pa******le. This is probably because it has come to light that a post has been made on line identifying me as a pa******le. This post is entirely malicious and fictitious. It is currently being investigated by South Yorkshire Police. Get in touch with me if you want the full sordid details! Many thanks for all your previous support. I will keep you informed, as to, when, and if, I decide to host the sessions somewhere else. Neil

Hi Neil. It was a great night with a good turnout! Based on what we witnessed on Tuesday and how aggressive the landlord was, we fully support this decision. I must admit, I’ve never had to shower after an evening out due to the fact I was sitting in a puddle of dog urine in the pub after it peed on the seating. Not the poor dogs fault! Let us know when something else sorted. Thanks for running the sessions and hope to see you all soon!
