Main hall with presentation media, good size meeting room and well equipped kitchen. Our rates for hire are competitive and we can offer favorable rates to regular users. Each meeting room can be hired separately including use of the kitchen, or you can hire the complete Hall. Please contact the Bookings Secretary - [email protected]

The fully equipped kitchen has a cooker, microwave oven, fridge, large boiler, tea and coffee pots and a range of utensils. We have tables and chairs in adult and child sizes, and an ample supply of crockery and cutlery. The Hall is an ideal venue for meetings, classes, training sessions, family celebrations and public events. The small room will seat 16 people and the large room about 80. It is especially popular for children’s parties. The large room offers a spacious area for play and organised games and will accommodate a Bouncy castle. Outside is a grassed area and a public playground with a protective fence and new equipment designed for younger children. The Hall has good access for wheelchair and mobility vehicle users with a wide paved path around the building and widened doorways at entrances and inside. There are disabled toilet facilities. It is possible to drive a vehicle up to the front of the building.

Dobbers at the ready, a superb night of Bingo was had at the Village hall last night. Great cash prizes and around 35 people took part. With booze and nibbles in hand and some louder than others it was truly a fun evening. Thanks to Mark and Bev Brook for organising, so if you want to join us on Sept 11th get your bids in soon...eyes down!

Meeting Place: Lord nelson

We’ll be:
🍃Trimming back intruding vegetation
🌱 Removing moss and weeds
🧹 Clearing silt from the pavements
🗑️ Collecting litter

This is one of the clean, green and tidy activities in preparation for Swaine Fest and Barnsley In Bloom judging day. 🎶🌸

Even if you can only spare a short time, every pair of hands makes a difference. 🙌🏽

We’re also asking if residents could help by taking responsibility for the section of pavement outside their own property. Small actions by many people can make a huge difference to the whole village. 🪏

Together, we can keep Hoylandswaine looking its best. We hope to see you there! 💚
