⚽ Arsenal legend Ray Parlour joined fans at The Brook Gate in Finsbury Park for a special afternoon celebrating all things Arsenal! 🔴⚪

Hosted in partnership with Coca-Cola, the family-friendly event brought supporters together for an afternoon packed with football themed fun, including games, an Arsenal nostalgia quiz and even the chance to play darts with the former Gunners midfielder 🎯

Fans also enjoyed an exclusive Q&A with Ray, who shared stories from his Arsenal career, while the Premier League Trophy made a special appearance and proved a huge hit with guests 🏆

A fantastic day of football, memories and community spirit at The Brook Gate!

I don’t do this very often and maybe I should but there is a little gem in Pen*stone called the Vault! Sara and I went for a Sunday lunch and I have to say it was one of the best I’ve had (apart from Sara’s of course) I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to go but it has and I was not disappointed!

I had had the sirloin of beef and Sara had the Roast chicken now anyone that knows Sara knows how much of a fussy eater she is and we both absolutely loved it! My beef was pink and extremely tasty Sara chicken was moist the vegetables were perfectly cooked the Yorkshire pudding was huge and very nice we both had a sweet which was Tiramisu and the chocolate brownie both imo were faultless! The service was very attentive but not intrusive I had a cherry Bakewell cocktail very nice but for me was a little to sweet personal preference and all that!

The one thing we couldn’t help notice was it was a bit quiet for a Sunday we thought it would be packed for Sunday lunch but it is the third weekend of the month which tend to be a bit quieter.

All in all we loved it and we will be giving it another go soon so if you have not tried the vault yet I highly recommend it and the price 2 courses for £28 which for the standard of the food is cheap imo!

With the way the country is at the moment we need to support local businesses and I know Pen*stone is second to non where that is concerned but pubs, restaurants, butcher’s, chip shops, bakeries, clothing shops and many other small businesses need your help if we don’t use them we lose them it’s that simple!

Also his family would like to thank everyone for their lovely heartfelt messages and to anyone that has donated Thank you xx

Finally a date has not been set in stone for his funeral as there having to wait for more information at this time!

It is with immense sadness that I have to let you all know that Rolo passed away this morning as you can imagine this has come as a huge shock and Sara and I are in pieces but Rolo has crossed the rainbow bridge she is not in pain anymore so we can take some relief in that I know that Rolo has touched many of your lives like she did ours she was in our lives for 5 years we took her as a rescue from cliff Kennels 2021 the same day we had to reshut the pub because we all had covid. You will be missed so much you were our rock we love you so much night night princess xx
