A 200 year-old pub, recently refurbished to form a traditional cosy village alehouse. The pub is entirely heated by wood - having a wood-fired range in the public bar (in which pies are heated during the winter) and a large woodburner in the lounge bar. The pub specialises in local produce, offering an ever-changing range of locally brewed real ale - served straight from the cask. Also available is a selection of locally made spirits, local ciders and soft drinks. Fairtrade and/or organic spirits are also available, as well as a small selection of locally made pies and pasties. A selection of traditional pub games, including bar billiards, darts and a few others are also available.

🍺 WE’RE IN THE GOOD B**R GUIDE 2027! 🍺

We’re absolutely delighted to share that the Sweffling White Horse has made it into the CAMRA Good B**r Guide 2027!

We’ve been lucky enough to feature in quite a few editions over the years, and it’s starting to feel like a bit of a tradition. But we never take it for granted.

This year’s entry feels particularly special. It’s our first year running the pub since Maz & Mark retired, leaving some pretty big shoes to fill. So this is a lovely bit of recognition for everyone who’s helped keep the White Horse doing what it does best.

So, let’s raise a glass to good b**r, the people who make it happen, and many more years of pulling pints.

🍺 We need your help to save the White Horse!

If you’ve been following our journey, you’ll know we’ve been working towards this for a while. And if you’re new to all this, here’s the important bit: YOU could own a piece of this pub!

Our community share offer is now OPEN, and we’re asking for your help to buy the pub’s freehold and secure its future for good.

For a minimum of £50, you can buy community shares, become a member of Sweffling Community Pub and help keep this little pub doing what it does best.

Because the White Horse isn’t just a pub. It’s where we come for a pint, a natter, a game of chess, a bit of live music, a good singalong, and all the other things that make a community. It’s somewhere you can turn up knowing nobody and leave having made a friend. And we reckon that’s worth fighting for.

We’ve come a long way, but we’re not there yet. We need to raise the money to buy the freehold, and we need as many people as possible to get behind us.
