A 200 year-old pub, recently refurbished to form a traditional cosy village alehouse. The pub is entirely heated by wood - having a wood-fired range in the public bar (in which pies are heated during the winter) and a large woodburner in the lounge bar. The pub specialises in local produce, offering an ever-changing range of locally brewed real ale - served straight from the cask. Also available i

s a selection of locally made spirits, local ciders and soft drinks. Fairtrade and/or organic spirits are also available, as well as a small selection of locally made pies and pasties. A selection of traditional pub games, including bar billiards, darts and a few others are also available.

Today we're open early to celebrate the launch of this special beer from Wild Craft Brewery. Described as juicy, soft and tropical, it's a very easy-drinking 4.8% and it's going down a treat already!

WE HAVE A COUPLE OF EXTRA TREATS FOR YOU THIS WEEKEND!!

FIRSTLY, We are launching a special beer by the very popular Wild Craft brewery.
Wild Crush is described as juicy,soft & tropical and at 4.8% is sure to be popular.
SECONDLY, To celebrate the launch we will be opening early on the Saturday at 12'oclock so you can enjoy a refreshing pint at lunchtime.

🍷 Introducing Wine of the Month at The White Horse 🍷

Each month, starting today, we’ll be bringing you a carefully chosen wine that’s a little different from our regular selection – giving us the chance to explore interesting bottles, regions and grape varieties from around the world.

June’s choice is Aquarius Sangiovese from Victoria, Australia. Made from the same grape used in Chianti, it’s a bright, fruit-forward red with notes of cherry, raspberry and plum, balanced by a fresh finish and a touch of spice.

The best part? These wines will be available on a “when it’s gone, it’s gone” basis, so every month brings a new discovery. So pop in soon to try some before it's gone 💨

No, we've not lost the plot!

Our first new canned beer from Ampersand Brewery launches tomorrow (Friday 5 June)
and it's a vegan Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Beer.

It raised a few eyebrows when we first heard about it too, but after some very (very) thorough taste testing, we're happy to report that it's dangerously good.

Fancy trying something a little different? Pop into the White Horse and grab a can before we drink them all in the name of quality control.

🥾 SUNDAY CIRCULAR WALK – 7th JUNE 🥾

Did you know it’s JUNE?! Somehow we’re already into summer, which means it’s the perfect time to join us for our monthly guided circular walk through the beautiful local countryside.

On the first Sunday of every month we set off from the Sweffling White Horse for a friendly walk with good company, fresh air and a different route each time. Everyone’s welcome — whether you’re a regular walker or fancy giving it a go for the first time.

We start and finish at the pub, and afterwards there’ll be a collection bucket in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.

A very good way to spend a Sunday morning. 🌿🍻
