Join Sophie Radice & Sophy Lynn • In Conversation at Cactus Hound Bar • June 11th
Sophie Radice will be in conversation with writer Sophy Lynn.
They will talk about how to write a political book without writing a polemic, how to use humour in writing, the difference between travel and migration, and how to fictionalise real events. They will touch on Motherhood, ageism, and friendship
The Year of Bad Maps is a fictionalised account of Sophie Radice’s solo travels to ten countries in a year, and her subsequent arrest at the Calais Refugee Camps and Crown Court Case for assisting ‘illegal immigration’
This is Sophie Radice’s second novel. Her first, The Henry Experiment was made into a BBC drama and called by Maggie O’Farrell ‘A smart, compelling, literary thriller’
