Our much-loved Mid-Week Roast is making its return!

From Wednesday 7th October, you'll once again be able to enjoy a traditional plated roast every Wednesday, available at both lunchtime and in the evening.

Prepared using quality Cornish produce, including our fantastic locally sourced meats from Button Meats, it's the perfect mid-week treat as the autumn evenings begin to draw in.

😢 BINGO UPDATE 😢

Unfortunately, we've made the decision to cancel our Bingo Night on Wednesday 16th September.

We haven't quite had the number of advance bookings we'd hoped for, and we want our Bingo Nights to have a great atmosphere with plenty of players and fantastic cash prizes up for grabs - so we'd rather wait until we can give you a really good night! ❤️

We're very sorry to those of you who had booked and were looking forward to joining us.

For now, we won't be setting another Bingo date - but that doesn't mean it's gone for good! 👀

If you'd love to see Bingo return to The Old Inn, let us know in the comments what would make Bingo perfect for you (a better day of the week maybe?). If there's enough interest, we'll happily look at getting another night in the diary.

As many of you will have seen, our lovely Margaret is retiring after more than 27 years of keeping The Old Inn immaculate - which means we now have some very big shoes to fill! ❤️

Cleaner required

The Old Inn, St. Breward, PL30 4PP

We are looking for a cleaner with attention to detail, and a high standard. Five mornings a week, (Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon). Start time 7:30 am. 3-4 hrs each morning approx. Hourly rate of pay, holiday accrual, company pension, share of tips.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Areas: Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and wipe down tables, chairs, and sticky surfaces in the main bar and dining areas.
Restrooms: Sanitize toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors while restocking paper towels, soap, and other essential supplies.

Safety & Maintenance: Follow strict chemical handling guidelines, report maintenance issues or pests to management, and manage cleaning product stock. COSHH rules.

Requirements & Skills

Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and clean hidden dirt in a high-traffic hospitality setting. Trustworthy, honest and reliable.
Reliability: Punctual and able to work independently before opening hours.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing, bending, lifting equipment, and performing repetitive tasks.
Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, and weekends.
