🍎🪕 ’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE PORKCHOP 🪕🍎

’Twas the night before Porkchop, and all through the bar,
Came whispers of banjos and “Where’s my guitar?”
The c***r stood ready, the glasses all gleamed,
While locals lay sleeping and c***r-fuelled dreamed.

Their best shirts were hanging, their boots by the door,
All ready for tunes and a stomp on the floor.
“I’ll just have the one,” each had solemnly said,
With tomorrow’s excuses rehearsed in their head.

The Beast out on Bodmin had heard of the show,
And growled, “Bleddy hell, boy, I’ll have to go!”
He’d brushed out his whiskers and polished each claw—
“Can’t turn up looking like this any more!”

For Porkchop was coming, his banjo in tow,
With tunes to get even your gran on the go.
She’d claim that her knees weren’t as good as before,
Then kick off her slippers and commandeer the floor.

So gather your mates for a proper good cheer,
With laughter and music and c***r and b**r.
At eight at the Masons, let merriment start—
Proper Cornish shenanigans, straight from the heart! 🍻
