After 7 weeks of refurb, The Jolly Postie is FINALLY ready to welcome you back! 🥳🍻

And who better to give the new bar the official seal of approval than our General Manager Jason and his little sidekick Riley! 👨‍👦🍻

The team have been putting in the hours, getting trained up and making sure every little detail is ready for our big reopening — and we cannot wait for you to finally see what we’ve been working on! 👀✨

DRY RUN #1 & #2! 🍽️🍻

After 7 weeks of refurb, yesterday we finally got to put the new Jolly Postie through its paces with our very first dry runs — split into daytime and evening sessions! 🙌

We were so lucky to have some of our lovely family, friends and regulars join us, alongside the team from one of our amazing sister pubs, The Angels in Hitchin, who are now embarking on their own refurb journey! 🥰

Having so many familiar faces join us for our practice runs has been such a brilliant way to test everything out before the big day, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout the last 7 weeks. ❤️

A huge thank you also goes to all the managers, assistants, GM’s, training managers and area managers from across the McMullen’s family who have joined us to help train and prepare our team for reopening — we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!

And now… we’re nearly there! 👀

We officially reopen THIS TUESDAY, 25th August at 4pm! 🎉

We’re getting closer… 5 days until reopening!

While the refurb has been happening, the team have been keeping busy with training over the last few days — brushing up on guest service, working on team building and getting everything ready for our return.

A few days of training, a lot of teamwork, and now we’re nearly there.
