BEYOND THE GLASS | SAUVIGNON BLANC vs CHARDONNAY

Two classic white w**es, two very different styles.

Sauvignon Blanc is typically crisp, fresh and vibrant, with flavours of citrus, gooseberry and green apple, often accompanied by herbaceous or tropical notes.

Chardonnay is incredibly versatile. Depending on where it's grown and how it's made, it can be fresh and elegant or rich and creamy, with flavours ranging from apple and citrus to vanilla and buttery notes.

At Antler & Vine, you can explore both.

Our Black Bird Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is bursting with gooseberry, passion fruit and grapefruit, with a beautifully crisp finish.

Or try our Accomplice Chardonnay from Australia – rounded and smooth, with balanced fruit, vanilla and oak flavours.

Which is more your style – crisp Sauvignon Blanc or rounded Chardonnay?

BEYOND THE GLASS | WHY DO PEOPLE SWIRL THEIR W**E?

You've probably seen someone gently swirling their w**e before taking a sip.

But is there actually a reason for it?

There is!

Swirling increases the w**e's contact with the air and helps release its aromatic compounds, making it easier to appreciate the different scents in your glass.

Those aromas are an important part of how we experience flavour.

A w**e might reveal notes of fresh berries, citrus, flowers, spice or even chocolate and coffee.

And as the w**e sits in your glass, you may notice its aromas changing and developing.

You don't need to be a w**e expert to enjoy these little details.

Next time you're enjoying a glass, give it a gentle swirl and see what you can discover.

Do you usually swirl your w**e, or do you prefer to get straight to the first sip?

BEYOND THE GLASS | A TASTE OF THE RHÔNE VALLEY

Some w**es are named after their grape variety, while others take their name from the place they come from.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of the latter.

Produced in the southern Rhône Valley of France, this celebrated w**e region is known for its rich, characterful reds, often made from a blend of grape varieties, with Grenache playing an important role in many of them.

Our Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers ripe blackberry, black cherry and liquorice, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, warming spice and subtle oak.

Silky tannins and fresh acidity bring everything together, creating a beautifully layered red w**e.

If you enjoy exploring full-flavoured reds, this is certainly one to discover.

Have you tried Châteauneuf-du-Pape before?
