🔧 TRADIE IN THE SPOTLIGHT 🔧

Next up, it’s Richard, Sam, Jake and the team at RJK Developments! 🪚🔨

They’re our joiners on The Colin refurb and have been busy getting stuck into plenty of jobs around the pub — from new timber work and panelling to sorting out the toilet cubicles and all those finishing touches that will make a big difference.

As you can see, there’s still plenty going on, but things are starting to come together!

A big thank you to Richard, Sam, Jake and the RJK Developments team for all the hard work so far. 👏🍻

One thing that’s been mentioned quite a few times is the toilets at The Colin needing some attention!

Well, you’ll be glad to know… we agree! 😂🚽

The work has already started, with the toilets being stripped back ready for a much-needed refresh.

🎨🔧 TRADIE IN THE SPOTLIGHT 🔧🎨

Next up, it’s the lads responsible for giving The Colin its fresh new look – Lee, Julian & Keith! 👏🍻

These three certainly aren’t strangers to The Colin. They’ve decorated the pub numerous times over the years, so when it came to bringing the place back to life once again, we knew exactly who to call!

They’ve been busy working their way through the pub, inside and out, getting everything looking smart and ready for reopening.

It’s great to have familiar faces back working on The Colin again – although we’re sure they know every wall, ceiling and awkward corner of the place by now! 😂🎨

Some things are being laid to rest ⚰️ while some old favourites are making a very welcome return.

The refurb is well underway and we’re working hard to bring back the proper community pub that Kimberworth knows and loves — with a fresh new look. 💚

🔧 INTRODUCING… TRADIE IN THE SPOTLIGHT 🔧

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing some of the brilliant trades and businesses helping us bring The Colin back to life! 🍻

We’ll be featuring 2–3 of our tradies each week, showing you who’s involved and what they’re working on.

And who better to kick things off than someone who already knows The Colin very well…

Dave from Refresh AV originally installed the audio visual system at The Colin back in 2008!

It’s served the pub well, but 18 years later technology has moved on… so it’s definitely time for an upgrade! 😂📺

We’ve worked with Dave for years across our pubs and he’s always been incredibly helpful, reliable and, most importantly, knows his stuff. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

Now Dave is back at The Colin, bringing the AV system right up to date and making sure the HOME OF SPORT is ready for live sport, big match days and a brilliant atmosphere when we reopen. ⚽📺🍻

🔨 THE REFURB IS UNDERWAY AT THE COLIN! 🍻

We’re only a couple of days in and the hard work has well and truly started!

Floors are being tackled, walls are being stripped, old cables are coming out and our tradies are getting stuck into the jobs that need doing. 🔨🪚

At this stage it’s all about stripping things back, repairing what needs repairing and getting everything ready for the exciting bits to begin.

There’s a LOT still to do over the next few weeks, but we’re making progress and it’s great to finally have the refurb underway.

We’ll keep sharing updates as the work continues — before long you’ll start to see the new-look Colin taking shape! 👀💚
