As a small family run business, the response from our local community has been overwhelming, and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness, encouragement, and support we have received.

Unfortunately, the planters have not been returned. As a result, the police collected all relevant CCTV footage, including ANPR vehicle registration details yesterday and are now investigating the matter.

While we are disappointed that it has come to this, we are reassured by the support shown by so many people who care about local businesses and the community we all share.

Thank you again to everyone who took the time to help. Your support means a great deal to us, and it reminds us why we are proud to be part of such a fantastic community.

We will provide any further updates if and when we are able to do so.

⚠️ To the thieves who stole our planters last night.... We know who you are, and we are genuinely disappointed.

The Barley - Bar & Restaurant is a small family run business, we put a lot of time, effort, and money into making our premises look welcoming for our customers and the local community.

The planters weren't just decorations; they were something we took pride in, and it's disheartening to see that someone chose to steal them.

The incident was captured on our PTZ camera system, including ANPR vehicle recognition and CCTV footage of the whole incident.

We're asking for the planters to be returned within the next hour. If they are not returned, we will pass all our footage and all relevant evidence to the police.
