The Royal Oak Quorn

The Royal Oak Quorn Relax in front of the open fire on a frosty winters evening or slouch back in the sun trapped garden

Found in the heart of the idyllic Leicestershire village of Quorn, 2 High Street, has been The Royal Oak, Free house since 1856. Since October 2015, Antonio and Sophie have been working hard to create a warm and welcoming pub for all. So that you can either relax in front of the open fire on a frosty winters evening or slouch back in the sun trapped beer garden in the height of summer. Within the

village central location, The Royal Oak naturally lends itself to be the perfect meeting pub. On a Friday and Saturday evening the pub is popular with night time revellers enjoying the hustle and bustle of Quorn at night. When you arrive, let time stand still and enjoy a drink with friends or read the paper to catch up on the news of the day.

We are open for business as usual!

Last night, a vehicle crashed into our pub, leaving a huge hole in the wall. What's remarkable is that we had a very similar incident back in 1916, a piece of our history that we had only just shared on Facebook and Instagram this week.

Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt, and we're grateful for all the messages of support. It seems our old pub has survived another chapter in its long story.

We'll keep everyone updated as we assess the damage and make repairs.

A look back at a remarkable moment in The Royal Oak’s history!

Back in 1917, a road accident saw a car crash into the side of the pub and Millner’s shop next door, causing quite a stir in the village and drawing a crowd for the local newspaper photograph. Thankfully, both men survived, although there were injuries and the vehicles were left badly damaged.
