It features intricate models, including G scale Thomas and Friends trains, delighting visitors of all ages. Southsea Model Village is a 1/12th scale village built in 1956. We are located on Southsea seafront next to the canoe lake and rose gardens. Just 30 seconds walk from the beach. There is also ample parking only 100 yards walk away. The model village is a delightful place to spend time for bo

th young and old. Set in beautifully maintained gardens with 100s of different varieties of flowers it truly is a great place to spend a afternoon or day. We have a Toy Museum with toys from the past and present. An interactive miniature model fairground. The Rifleman's Tunnel which is 125ft long and holds our scale handmade model of Portsmouth Guildhall and Spinnaker Tower. Also our large g scale railway with Thomas And Friends,chugging around the Village which is especially enjoyed by our younger visitors. Not forgetting our own Castle over looking the Solent with wonderful views for miles, a perfect spot for a picnic. We have a great Snack Bar on site serving ice cream,hot & cold food, including Chips, hot dogs ,homemade gourmet burgers and baguettes with fillings of your choice all freshly made.

We’ve only gone and pulled in another favour from the head of FIFA.

After borrowing the actual World Cup, they’ve now allowed us to put the Southsea Model Village logo right in the centre of the pitch for tonight’s World Cup match! ⚽🏟️

Not sure the groundsman was thrilled when we emailed him the design, but fair play to him he’s done a cracking job mowing it in.

Keep an eye out when the cameras pan across the centre circle tonight… if you squint hard enough, you might just spot Portsmouth’s finest attraction on the world stage! 😂

🚂☀️ WE’RE OPEN TODAY! ☀️🚂

Good news… Thomas & The Tanked Up Engines have finally made it back from Magaluf and are fit for service once again!

After an extended “maintenance break” involving sun loungers, dodgy dance moves and one too many beers, the crew have been rounded up, hosed down and put back on the tracks.

The Fat Controller has issued a final warning, James has lost his luggage , Percy still can’t remember what happened on Tuesday, and Toby insists he only had “a couple.”

🚨 CLOSED TODAY 🚨

Unfortunately Southsea Model Village will be closed today.

It appears Thomas & The Tanked Up Engines have decided to extend their holiday in Magaluf for another day and have failed to report back for duty.

Reports suggest James is still asleep on the beach, Percy has lost his return ticket, Toby is chugging beer for breakfast, and Thomas keeps insisting he’s “absolutely fine to drive.”

The Fat Controller is not impressed.

Normal service will resume once they’ve sobered up, found their sun cream and remembered which country they’re in.

🏆⚽ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿THE WORLD CUP HAS ARRIVED AT SOUTHSEA MODEL VILLAGE! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽🏆

After a few phone calls, a couple of emails and calling in a favour from the head of FIFA Gianni Infantino, I’m pleased to announce he came through and has kindly loaned us the World Cup trophy.

The deal is simple:
We look after it.
We don’t drop it.
We give it back before the final.

So far we’re managing two out of three. 😬
