Thanks for all of your support in Round 1 💙 🍻
Onto the final 16! Team Dolphin 🐬
🏆 Group D has given us our most emphatic winner yet!
The Dolphin absolutely dominated the voting and becomes the fourth pub through to the last 16 of Plymouth’s Favourite Pub 2026! 🍻
They now join The Brook Inn, The Hyde Park and The Kings Head in the knockout stages.
🥇 The Dolphin: 301 votes
🥈 Hyde Park Social Club: 50 votes
🥉 The Union Inn: 39 votes
▪️ The Steam Packet: 19 votes
That’s 409 valid votes across Group D, with The Dolphin taking an incredible 301 of them. More than 73% of the entire vote!
The post itself generated 429 comments, 28 shares and 40,986 views, which is another huge response for four more Plymouth pubs.
A small housekeeping note though. Voting is strictly one vote per person. Two people voted twice for the same pub during this group, so only one vote from each person was included in the final count. I replied to both comments at the time so everything was completely transparent.
As always, the results are processed using TrueParse, the software I built for last year’s competition, with the final count also sense-checked using AI.
A massive congratulations to The Dolphin, and a huge thank you to Hyde Park Social Club, The Union Inn and The Steam Packet for getting involved.
And remember, getting knocked out doesn’t make any of these pubs any less worth visiting.
This whole competition is about celebrating Plymouth’s pubs, introducing people to places they might not have tried before and hopefully getting a few more people through their doors.
So if one of these pubs is your local, keep supporting it. And if you’ve never been to one of them, maybe this is your excuse. ❤️
🤝 Want your business alongside Plymouth’s Favourite Pub 2026?
The first four voting posts have now generated 139,450 views between them.
That’s approaching 140,000 views after only four of the 16 first-round groups, with another 12 groups still to come before we even reach the knockout stages.
We’re looking for the right local business to partner with the competition throughout it. Something relevant to Plymouth’s pubs, hospitality or nights out, rather than a logo appearing for the sake of it.
Taxi companies, breweries, drinks distributors, glassware suppliers and other genuinely relevant businesses would be a natural fit.
If that sounds like you, drop me a message. 🤝
And we go again tonight...
🍺 Group E goes live at 8pm!
