𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 ☀️🍻

After a long week, it’s finally time to put our feet up for five minutes and take it all in.

The sun came out, the village was buzzing, the beach was packed and it was brilliant seeing locals and visitors all out in force enjoying Turnchapel at its very best 🌊

We welcomed birthday parties, stag dos, Sunday lunch celebrations, groups doing Plymouth on Tap, coastal walkers, families, dogs and visitors from all over, while our Beach Bites boxes were flying out the door to people relaxing on the beach and around the village square.

Sunday lunch even included a dog birthday party 🐶🎂

We also had the pleasure of welcoming walking internet sensation Sam Culley during his incredible South West Coast Path journey.

Even with the power cut and emergency electrical works digging up the road, the village spirit was still out in force, and we were glad to take cold drinks out to the crews working in the heat to get everything back up and running ☀️

Good food, cold drinks, sunshine and one of the best little waterfront villages anywhere.

𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝟱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 🐶🎉🎂

We've done all sorts of events; Birthdays, Weddings and Wakes but today we had a special four legged guest for her 5th Birthday party!

We rolled out the red carpet, stocked up on doggy treats and plumped up the fluffy dog beds for our VIP guest.

She even got some sausage snacks on the house to finish 🌭

This morning we had a very special visitor at the Clovelly Bay Inn 🌊🥾

Sam Culley stopped by during his incredible 630 mile South West Coast Path challenge, a journey that’s now being followed by over 1.3 million people across social media.

Like so many others, we’ve been following the adventure ourselves, so it was brilliant to welcome Sam and his cousin Jaime into Turnchapel.

Charlotte, Antonia and Laura got them sorted with a pint, coffee, a couple of ice lollies and, after hearing they’d picked up some cheese from Flavour Fest, we put together some fresh bread, ham, butter and chutney so they could make sandwiches for the next part of the walk 🥪

We also made a donation to Mountain Rescue, the charity Sam is supporting along the way 👏

Massive respect for what he’s doing and the awareness he’s raising.
