Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue has an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks. The restaurant’s menu features fresh, local and seasonal produce and fish sourced from local day boats. An ideal setting for private dining, small weddings and business meetings – all set against a spectacular ocean view backdrop! This striking building has been developed by Inns of Cornwall and Devon The company has extensive experience of running award-winning pubs and venues in the West Country and owns the nearby Waterfront Pub & Dining at West Hoe. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team across all areas of the business – including management, mixologists, all grades of chefs, kitchen porters and front of house. Even the team working in the kitchen will enjoy the amazing sea views from the elevated theatre kitchen! THE BACKGROUND
Inns of Cornwall and Devon, run by John Milan and Steve Bellman, has entered into an agreement with Plymouth City Council for the 125-year lease and is refurbishing the two-storey building as a restaurant and bar. John Milan said: "Plymouth’s waterfront is a special location and we want to create something really special in the Dome. We wanted to make the most of some of the existing features as well as the view and think the ocean liner theme will be the perfect fit for Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City and of course, those who want a great night out on the waterfront.”

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.
