It's going to be a beautiful day, so why not take a walk down to us and enjoy some late sunshine a pint and some live music this afternoon from an amazing musician Jess Orestano, who will be playing in the main bar (3.30pm) Covering everything you can imagine, and even takes requests.

Another change on the pumps, we're replacing Manhattan Project with

Tydd Steam - Scoundrel 4%
Features light malt flavours, a gentle malty aroma, fruity hints, and a light citrus finish with a persistent dry aftertaste

Nene Valley - Release The Chimps 4.4%
A pale malt base gives a crisp mouthfeel that allows late addition and dry hops to come through with a punchy bitterness and a good deal of hop flavour in such a light beer.

Nene Valley - Simple Pleasures 3.6% ABV
A light, clean and refreshing beer packed full of Cascade and Ekuanot hops.

Grainstore - Ten Fifty 5% ABV
A full strength mahogany coloured beer, possessing the fine balance of pronounced hop bitterness & aroma against a a natural malty sweetness.

Live music this weekend is the wonderful Jess Orestano Live @ The Duck 3.30pm in the main bar.

This week, we've almost got a Nene Valley Tap Take Over!

Nene Valley - Release The Chimps 4.4%
A pale malt base gives a crisp mouthfeel that allows late addition and dry hops to come through with a punchy bitterness and a good deal of hop flavour in such a light beer.

Nene Valley - Manhattan Project 4% ABV
A light and refreshing beer with lots of citrus and tropical flavours from the Mandarina, Citra and Eureka hops.

Nene Valley - Simple Pleasures 3.6% ABV
A light, clean and refreshing beer packed full of Cascade and Ekuanot hops.

We may have had to cancel todays gig, but what's not cancelled is a proper bank holiday Sunday, with four gorgeous local ales, a warm welcome and some banter.

Tomorrow's gig with Dazed and Confused we have to cancel due to illness in the band, The band and us have spent all morning trying to find a suitable replacement, but sadly we've not been able to find anyone.

We'll still be here with great ales, chatter and good times, so we hope we'll still see you.

We've got some great local ales on as well as a fantastic band, this Sunday 4pm.

Dazed and Confused, will hopefully be playing the last of our outdoor gigs, if the weather isn't brilliant we'll move it into the restaurant area of the pub.

Expect huge tunes from ELO to The Jam, to The Cure you'll be treated to a broad set of hits to suit all.

This Sunday is the last of our outdoor Summer gigs, this week we have the brilliant Dazed and Confused with us from 4pm.
Rutland based band dedicated to the unsung gems of the 70s to today. Great songs and none of the usual suspects (well not many!)
Expect huge tunes from cure, The Who, Billy Idol, Joy Division, Roxy Music, Pulp, Verve, Cult, Te Jam, ELO, Thin Lizzy a diverse set list that has something for everyone.

We're planning on this being outdoor (weather dependant) if not we'll be moving it inside to the restaurant area.

We're off to the trade session of The 47th Peterborough Beer Festival and find lots of great local ales we can get for The Duck, and we'd like to wish the organisers the very best for a succesful event.
