A huge congratulations to The Sportsman Inn in Carlisle on being crowned City Pub of the Year by Solway CAMRA.

For centuries, The Sportsman has been at the heart of Carlisle's pub scene, and today it continues to set the standard. CHARITY COFFEE MORNING ☕️ 🍰

One of our lovely regular guests here at The Halfway House runs a charity, helping to support children and families in Gambia 🇬🇲

Rodney has being running this charity for quite a few years and has achieved so much for so many children already!

However, there’s always more we can do! So… let’s get together, grab a coffee and some cake and see what we can raise together!

Come along from 10am on Thursday 19th November! We’d love to see you all there!

Well.. what a weekend that was 🌬️ 🌧️ 🍂

We’re a little battered and bruised here- outside it’s mostly our poor bin storage 🥴 the poor fence didn’t stand a chance!

However, internally we’ve had some longer, more tricky issues to contend with! Everything is in the process of being fixed, just please be kind to our lovely team if things are taking a little longer than normal.

Anyway, we hope everyone if safe and well without too much damage!

We are only able to offer Carvery today- not our usual Sunday menu! Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anybody but the storm was not kind to us!

We will be offering our children’s menu too, of course.

4 meats, loads of veggies and delicious gravy- that’ll cheer you up on this cold miserable day!

Unfortunately, due to the very long power cut we had yesterday- we have a lot of catching up to do for today, so we have made the decision to opening the kitchen slightly later at 2pm.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The bar will be open from 12 as usual.

Of course, if anyone is without power still please feel free to come in, grab a hot drink, charge devices, sit in the warm for as long as you may need!

So have to stayed closed until it comes back on.

Rory takes the keys to the refurbished Cross Keys pub in Nottingham! 🗝️

Our new Management Partner Rory Calladine has taken the reins at the popular city centre pub following a £100,000 investment.

🗨️"I was instantly drawn to the pub and as soon I discovered it was available in a partnership with Punch, I jumped at the chance." 🍍

Regular guests at The Cross Keys will instantly notice the pub’s traditional feel and special characteristics have been retained throughout but that a complete refresh has taken place. 💫

We have reopened the Keyworth Tavern following a quarter-of-a-million refurbishment 🔥

The Keyworth pub in Nottingham, run by our Management Partner John Francis, had been closed for 5 weeks while we tore out the bar, stripped the pub back and replaced everything with new, modern furnishings. 🤩

Great work by everyone involved in the transformation 🥂

Newly married couple Gareth and Jamie Furness have take the over The Bay Horse Inn in Pickering. 🔔

The pub has received a £400,000 investment and Gareth says it has been very well received by locals. 😃

“We are seeing more locals returning to the pub, faces that haven't been seen here for many years and we are seeing them on a regular basis... The refurb has really put The Bay Horse Inn back on the map and firmly at the heart of the Pickering community.” ❤️
