CASE CLOSED. 🔎
After more than a century of suspicion, secrets and missing money, the truth can finally be revealed…
The murderer of Edmund Blackwood was Thomas Bell.
Blackwood had discovered that small amounts of money had been disappearing from dormant bank accounts.
Every suspicious transfer led back to the same place:
Counter 4B.
Thomas Bell’s counter.
Bell claimed he had left the bank shortly after 8:10pm — but a telegram receipt proved he was still inside at 8:33pm.
With Blackwood closing in on the missing money, Bell knew his secret was about to be exposed.
At approximately 8:41pm, he confronted Blackwood in his office, struck him with the brass ledger weight, removed the incriminating ledger page and opened the safe in an attempt to disguise what had really happened.
The Last Account had finally been settled.
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for Murder at Dusk on Saturday.
It was brilliant seeing so many of you wandering around the bar comparing clues, accusing suspects and getting properly stuck into the case.
Some of you were very, very close.
Some of you were absolutely miles off. 😂
But that was half the fun.
Thank you for throwing yourselves into something a little bit different and helping us make the night what it was.
We had such a good time putting it together — and judging by the amount of detective work going on around the place, we don’t think this will be the last mystery to find its way to Dusk & Dawn…
Until next time. 👀
