We're delighted to welcome our **new chef** to the kitchen at The New Inn, Roughton — and with them comes a fresh menu, new ideas and a renewed focus on serving great pub food!

We've been busy bringing together a menu that celebrates everything we love about a proper village pub: **generous portions, quality ingredients, freshly prepared dishes and fantastic flavours.**

From our enormous golden b**r-battered fish and chunky chips to stone-baked pizzas, hearty lamb shanks and beautifully presented Sunday roasts, there's plenty to get your appetite going!

A new face in the kitchen at The New Inn! 🍽️

We're pleased to welcome our new chef to The New Inn, Roughton!

There's a fresh approach in the kitchen, and we've got some exciting new menus on the way. In the meantime, we're keeping some of your favourites on the table.

Tomorrow (Sunday), we're serving food from 12pm until 6pm, including:

🍖 Traditional Roast Dinners
🐟 Fish & Chips
🍕 Pizza
🍖 Lamb Shank

Everything is freshly prepared, and dishes will be available while stocks last, so we'd strongly recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment.

**The New Inn is recruiting!**

We're urgently looking for a reliable, experienced Chef or Pub Cook to join our team.

We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a busy pub kitchen
- Can prepare and deliver good-quality, traditional pub food
- Is confident managing kitchen service independently
- Maintains excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
- Is dependable, organised and takes pride in their cooking

**Immediate start available – ideally this weekend!**

We're happy to consider experienced cooks as well as qualified chefs. What matters most is ability, reliability and a positive attitude.

⚡ POWER CUT? NOT HERE! 🍻

We know there's a power cut affecting some of our neighbours down the road, but we're pleased to say we're OPEN, the lights are on, and we're still serving food! 😁

🍽️ Our main kitchen will be closing at 6pm as usual, but we're keeping the fryers fired up so we can continue offering a few basic menu favourites throughout the evening!

So, if you're sitting at home in the dark, fancy a hot bite to eat, or just need somewhere warm and welcoming to escape to, pop down and see us!

🍺 Cold drinks, hot food and the lights are definitely on!

🍖 WELL… YOU HUNGRY LOT HAVE DONE IT AGAIN! 😂

You've almost eaten us out of house and home!

Our Sunday roasts have been so popular today that we've run out of pretty much every meat… except turkey! 🦃

Clearly nobody told the cows, pigs and sheep they needed to bring reinforcements! 🤣

BUT FEAR NOT!

We're still serving our delicious roast turkey with all the trimmings while it lasts! 🦃🍽️

And for those who fancy something different, we've switched back to our normal menu for the rest of the day! 🍔🍟

So there's still plenty of delicious food to tuck into!
