Counting down the days to be on the start line for The Amazing Northampton Run and super excited to welcome you again for the grand tour of Northampton.

The trophies and medals arrived today and despite my rubbish photography I think you can see the 3D model of another one of Northampton's iconic buildings - this time the Phipps Brewery and Albion Brewery bar from the late 1800s.

Medal reveal tomorrow and I will try harder to take a better picutre!

Let's not wish the week away, but after a long Monday we can't be the only ones looking ahead to a weekend of enterntainment?

This Friday 11th:

Empty Chairs is back from 7:15pm. Come and say hello to Ashley and the group.

Shortly after that, duo 'Sifting Through' will fill the bar with music from 8pm.

INGA RAPIDS(X-JULI JULI) live...
Named after dangerous white water rapids...a Northampton
indie band,bouncy rhythms,melodic guitars,gutsy vocals-a whiff
of the 80/90s that traverses soundscapes that draws on rock via springsteen and the taut punk ethics of babyshambles.
This is their debut gig for this band....decided to resurect juli juli
songs after 35 years...
Features ....
TIM CANTWELL x JULI JULI /TEA DANCE then TELL TALE HEARTS
ADY TILLEY(RELIGIOUS OVERDOSE/WHERES LISSE/JULI JULI/TEA DANCE).
TIM COLMAN-from leicester played in various bands including
THE COTERIE who are still going.
TIM H-from coventry then nottingham notably with SLEEPCYCLE
who supported fad gadget onto london where his band
FREAKATICIAN headlined the marquee.

Et voila!

We might be running a leaner week currently, but we’re cramming in the entertainment for our regulars as well as the fortunate people discovering the Albion for the first time.

We’ll share individual event details periodically. Many of these are returning acts who have gone down very well previously at the Albion.

The hot summer made a casualty of our cellar cooling. This resulted in a reduced offering of cask ales for a time. We are glad to say the newly fitted cooling is fully functional and better than ever.

A rotation of our well-known beers is back on, with 1 or 2 seasonals and a featured guest ale popping up every so often.

Aside from cask ales we have a range of kegged and bottled beer, cider, lager, soft drinks, no-alcohol beverages, spirits and tap water...

There’s a rumour that the bar team have been developing a small selection of cocktails using Phipps’ spirits 👀 So keep a beady eye out for those in the not too distant future.

Wowzers!

Still spaces if you fancy a little jog round town. Even if you don’t, our doors will be open with a special beer, light bites and a DJ to celebrate
