Kerala ;“The Gods own Country”
Located on the southernmost tip of the Indian coastline, Kerala has been a centuries-old trade point for sailors. Looking back to history, Kerala established trade with the Portuguese, British, French, Arabs, and other North Indian traders due to the fertile, rich grounds that cultivate Tea, Coffee, Rubber, Black pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, and many more spices and herbs. Due to early age involvement with foreigners, we are now the most literate state in India and the most culturally and religiously diverse population in India, living in harmony. As a result, we also have a vast variety of dishes and cuisines. At the Toddy Shop in Northampton, we only prepare the authentic variety of food available in Toddy Shops in Kerala. The majority of dishes in Kerala Toddy Shops consist of seafood and meat, making it less suitable for vegetarians. https://www.toddy.shop/menu

FROG LEG FRY
A nostalgic and the most favourite dish at Toddy Shop are the Frog Leg fries. Decades back Toddy Shop's in Kerala without frog leg fries were out of question. But, now due to the implementation of endangered species law in India have wiped out this delicacy from our plates. We at Northampton source the Frog Legs from Vietnam where its legal to catch and export and use our traditional masala marination to get them fried. So, in simple words anyone in Kerala who crave for this extinct dish must travel all the way from India to Northampton to taste them again!!! www.toddy.shop/menu

Hot toddy originates from the Hindi word taddy, which in 1610s British-occupied India was a drink made with fermented palm sap. By around the mid-18th century, taddy had evolved into a 'beverage made of alcoholic liquor with hot water, sugar, and spices'.Blending Indian and British influences, the Hot Toddy is a warm, spiced, comforting beverage suitable for colder climates. A bridge between two cultures, as you sip this spiced drink, remember you are taking a significant sip of history that warms the body and mind. https://toddy.shop
