🌈✨ What an amazing day at Pride in the Port - Newport, South Wales/ UK Pride in Newport! 🏳️‍🌈

The Rainbow Bar was proud to be there, celebrating love, equality, inclusion and everything that makes our community so fantastic. ❤️

We met some truly wonderful people, shared plenty of smiles and had an incredible time soaking up the Pride atmosphere.

A huge thank you to Sophie and everyone who helped make the best day and to everyone who stopped by, said hello and helped make the day so special. 🌈💖

Hey folks!!!!

We are so excited about Pride in the Port tmw!! The team behind the scenes have worked so hard to bring us a fabulous event and celebration for our gorgeous community. The Rainbow bar will be there serving from 12 at The Riverfront, Newport, we will have plenty of ice, cocktail Rainbow flags, Rainbow straws and a full bar including delicious Cocktails!!!

Bringing your dog to Pride? 🐶🏳️‍🌈

Dogs are allowed at Pride in the Port 2026, however, we would strongly recommend that you leave your pet at home as there will be loud noises and large crowds, which may scare animals.

The details:
Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times
Please clean up immediately if your dog fouls. Bins are located around the site
Only one dog is permitted per person
If your dog is causing a nuisance or is a threat to other visitors, you will be asked to leave
Clearly visible assistance dogs (i.e dogs wearing specialised gear like marked capes, vests, or rigid guide harnesses) will obviously be welcome
Dogs are also welcome in the parade but must be on a short lead and well behaved

We are pleased to announce for the first time ever for Pride in the Port we will have BSL interpretation for the whole of the Main Stage! 🤟💜

Inclusion is at the heart of Pride, and we are so proud to make UK Pride 2026 more accessible than ever.

For the first time ever, the whole of the Main Stage at the Riverfront will be fully BSL interpreted!

Join us at the Main Stage on Saturday 5th September - every act, every speech, every moment will be interpreted.

WHO'S READY FOR THE PARADE?! 🏳️‍🌈🎉

5th September 2026 - we’re taking to the streets to celebrate!

Gather: 10:30am at John Frost Square
Parade sets off: 11:00am

Good to know:
The parade is free to enter and does not require a ticket
The route is longer but will be at a slow pace 💜
The end of the route will finish at the main stage where you will need to show your free ticket and valid ID to enter
If you are just attending the parade we would suggest turning off before the underpass at the top of the high street near Le Pub

Full route will be in our pride guide which will be released soon!

Stay safe: Remember to stay hydrated on the day and if it’s sunny please wear sun protection which includes hats, long clothing or sun cream ☀️
