🏳️🌈❤️ Last night was about so much more than a party…
As we sit and reflect on Pride, we’re feeling incredibly grateful, emotional and, more than anything, proud.
For 13 years, Atlantica has been celebrating diversity, inclusion, love and equality here in Newport. Thirteen years of creating a place where people can come together, be themselves, feel accepted and feel at home. And we are so proud to say that this is something we will continue to do for many years to come.
There is, of course, one very special person who has been at the heart of Atlantica throughout that journey, even though he has not been here in person since 2015.
Atlantica was Rob’s dream. His passion, his vision and his belief in creating a place where people could come together and simply be themselves.
Although we lost Rob in 2015, his dream has lived on every single day since. It lives on in the people who walk through our doors, in the friendships made, the memories created, the laughter, the love and the incredible community that has grown around Atlantica.
Last night was another reminder of just how special that dream was.
We truly believe Rob would be so proud to see Atlantica still standing strong, still bringing people together and still proudly celebrating Pride after all these years. 🌈❤️
To everyone who joined us last night — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support, your energy and your love mean more to us than you know.
And to our amazing staff and performers — thank you. You give so much of yourselves to make nights like last night happen, and we couldn’t be prouder of every one of you. You worked incredibly hard, and tonight we are closing our doors so that you can have the well-earned rest you deserve.
We’ll be back next Friday doing what we do!
